IT'S FRIDAY AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!

No Mark Henry on commentary, Ricky Starks is on instead.

AEW Tag Team Championship Match: Lucha Brothers (c) vs. The Butcher and The Blade Penta is back to his Joker look, not a fan. Lucha Brothers run wild early with their great high flying before getting cut off by Blade and Butcher. Fenix gets the cold tag and gives us a highlight reel. Double stomp/package Piledriver but Fenix tries to dive on Butcher who ducks it and attacks Penta to make the save. Nice near-fall. Fenix gets another cold tag. Butcher and Blade tie Penta's mask to the rope and attack Fenix. They look to have the match won BUT Penta removes his mask and superkicks Blade (while covering his face) allowing Fenix rolls up Butcher for 3! Two cool near-fall moments but more of a highlight reel for Lucha Brothers. Butcher and Blade never looked or felt like a real threat. **1/2 Private Party jump the Lucha Brothers after the match and rip at Fenix's mask. Santana and Ortiz run them off. There's Lucha Brothers next two title defenses. Omega vs. Danielson promo package. Legit dream match next week. The Bunny vs. Anna Jay Anna and Bunny meet at the ramp and go at it. Anna controls early before The Bunny goes after the shoulder of Anna Jay but for some reason not the one with tape on it aka the one that had surgery on it. Anna makes a comeback. Penelope and Tay Conti get into it at ringside. Bunny tries to roll up Anna but she counter into one of her own for the 3. Not a good match. Anna is a great up and coming talent but needs a veteran to lead her and Bunny is not that. In fact, she isn't good. * Bunny attacks after the bell and Tay runs in to help. Penelope knocks out Tay and Anna with the brass knuckles. So expect these 4 in a tag match soon. Joy. Recap of Hobbs and HOOK attacking CM Punk. Hobbs cut a nice short promo to hype their match. Tony Schiavone with Matt Hardy. Tony mentions how Hardy's faction is 0-2 tonight. Hardy goes after a "fan" that is dressed like Orange Cassidy. Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on the fan and cuts his hair. And then Jack Evans shaves his head. Orange Cassidy walks out for the save but Hardy and Jack bail. This was a bad RAW segment. Why is this on AEW? Britt Baker enters as we return from commercial. Tony Schiavone is in the ring to interview her and Ruby Soho. Taz singing Ruby's theme is great. Both women cut great promos. Baker calls her a fake with multiple names and that she was fired. Ruby mocks Baker for being like everyone she's ever faced: "entitled, selfish and banging someone in the back". This was great and did a lot to build up their match next week. Short brawl as Baker runs off and Ruby poses with the belt. Tony was useless here. Mark Henry split-screen interviews Miro and Fuego. Fuego comes off like a dork while Miro kills it like he always does. TNT Championship vs. Car Match: Miro (c) vs. Fuego del Sol Classic power vs. speed match. Miro tries to grab Fuego but can't until Fuego tries a dive on the outside. Miro catches him but is ran into the post. Fuego is backdropped into the crowd who catch him and help on the guardrail and he dives at Miro, who again, catches him and just chucks him. Back from commercial, and Miro has Fuego in a bearhug. Fuego rallies and fires up. Springboard but Fuego runs into a double are handle into his face! Miro mocks Fuego who fights back again. Things gets a little sloppy and Miro just beats Fuego down and hits two of his big kicks to finish it with ease. Not as good as their first match as it went too long and Fuego got sloppy. Worked as an extended squash for Miro. ** Miro shoves Fuego's car keys in his mouth and locks in the Game Over. Sammy runs out and saves his friend and poses with the TNT title. Miro's next opponent. I am game. A very blah episode of Rampage. Usually they have that one match worth going out of your way to see but not this week. Baker and Ruby's segment was easily the highlight and the teases for future matches were nice. Given the fact that next week is AEW's biggest shows yet, they can be forgiven for not doing anything too crazy here tonight.
