 A stacked month for NJPW and AEW! From BOSJ, Dominion and the start of the G1 to AEW having some of the best matches of the year on free TV to a good but underwhelming PPV. Will try to mix in some varieties next month.  

AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Mark Briscoe at AEW Dynamite 7/1: A fun, hard hitting match. Mark goes right after MJF from the start and wants to make this a fight but MJF goes after the bandage on Mark's head to reopen his cut from the PPV and bust him open. Mark fights back and goes to work on MJF but takes too long with a table on the floor and allows MJF to cut him off. Some nice storytelling mixed in here with Mark wanting to go for big, high risk offense while MJF is able to work smarter to cut off Mark and work him over for some heat. A lot of fighting on the floor as MJF goes for a Tombstone on the exposed concrete but Mark counters with a backdrop and a Cactus Elbow off the apron to the floor! Cut-Throat Driver by Mark gets him a near-fall before he is finally able to hit a Froggy Bow from the top to outside through a table! Mark gets MJF back in the ring for a cover but MJF gets his foot on the rope! Another Froggy Bow and Mark hits the Jay Driller but MJF kicks out! Mark goes back to the well with another Jay Driller attempt but MJF is able to block with an Alabama Slam before floating right into a Heatseeker for the win. Just a solid match overall. Really enjoyed Mark going for broke all match with big offense, only for it all to come up short even with his Ace in the hole: the Jay Driller. MJF played it smart and was able to out-wrestle Mark at the right time to get the win. ****

AEW International Championship Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher at AEW Dynamite 7/8-Beach Break 2026: An exciting back and forth match between these former friends. We get a nice slow start with both men working for holds and feeling each other out. As the match progresses, we can see that Takeshita has the power advantage and is able to use it to put Fletcher on the defensive. Takeshita misses an elbow on the outside and hits a ring post to damage his arm, which Fletcher takes advantage of right away by going after it. Some nice arm work by Fletcher for the heat while Takeshita tries to fight through the pain to use his arm for some offense. We get a bit of back and forth as Takeshita fights from underneath and nails a huge Blue Thunder Bomb. Fletcher rolls to the apron to escape but Takeshita follows and hits an insane Bastard Driver/Wheelbarrow German Suplex on the apron! Holy Shit! Takeshita goes for the killing blow with a Overdrive Knee but Fletcher is able to counter with a Michinoku Driver for a near-fall. More back and forth action from both men before Takeshita is able to find the strength to hit the Raging Fire! Takeshita takes too long to cover though because of the hurt arm and Fletcher is able to get his foot on the rope to survive. Another Overdrive Knee attempt by Takeshita is countered by Fletcher into a roll-up for a near-fall. Both men try to counter each other with a backslide until Fletcher is able to escape out and kick Takeshita's arm out from under him. Superkick to Takeshita and Fletcher follows up with a Brainbuster. Still only 2! Takeshita picks himself up in the corner and Fletcher charges with a Leg Lariat. Fletcher lifts Takeshita to the top and hits the Turnbuckle Brainbuster! Holy Fuck! Cover and we have a new champion! What a match! Takeshita had the power advantage all match so Fletcher had to move faster and find a way to pick him apart, which he did with the arm. Great selling by Takeshita as he kept fighting with the bad arm, even with the pain it caused him. A ton of great near-falls before Fletcher is able to out-wrestle Takeshita just long enough to go to the arm again and get the win. ****1/4

AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega at AEW Dynamite 7/8-Beach Break 2026: An incredible action and drama-filled match! Omega goes right after MJF from the opening and tries to move fast by going for the One-Winged Angel early, only for MJF to gouge Omega's eyes and escape to the floor. MJF bails into the crowd and Omega follows for a nice brawl in the crowd for a bit. Back in the ring, we get some good back and forth action from both men. Omega keeps looking for big offense like the V-Trigger and even hits a Moonsault off the lifeguard chair on the stage while MJF looks to bend the rules and cheat by using the referee as a shield, going after the eyes and more to try and wear down Omega. MJF is able to land his own big shots with a Powerbomb on his knee and a Package Piledriver for a 2 count. MJF has enough and tries to end Omega with a Tombstone off the apron but Omega fights out and nails a big boot to send MJF crashing, literally head first, through the announce table! Holy Shit! Back in the ring, Omega tries for the One-Winged Angel again but MJF goes to the eyes once more as he rolls outside to catch his breath. Omega follows up but MJF gets his knees up for a Moonsault off the guardrail and hits a brutal Tombstone onto a chair at ringside! Omega is down but MJF hurt his knee in the process! MJF tries for the Heatseeker but Omega pushes him off and MJF comes down on the bad knee. V-Trigger by Omega! MJF is able to block another One-Winged Angel attempt but Omega instead hits a Snap Dragon Suplex. V-Trigger in the corner and Omega lifts MJF up to the top rope. Omega looks for the One-Winged Angel again but MJF counters into a Bret's rope Poison Rana! Heatseeker! Cover! Omega kicks out at 2! MJF gets fed up and grabs the World title but the referee is able to stop him from using it. MJF has the Diamond Ring! Wait! Will Ospreay runs out and takes the ring from MJF! The referee is yelling at Ospreay as Omega goes to hit MJF with the title belt, but he stops himself. Low blow by MJF! He hits Omega with the title belt! Not this way! Cover! OMEGA KICKS OUT AT 1! MY GOD! Omegas fires up and starts laying in some punches on MJF! V-Trigger by Omega! And a second! A third V-Trigger! Omega lifts MJF up and finally hits the One-Winged Angel! Cover and 3! Omega is the AEW Champion once again! My God, what a match! Omega came in knowing he had to go all out and pulled off all the stops. MJF tried to pick him apart and cheat his way to the win but nothing was keeping Omega down on this night. Omega going for the One-Winged Angel all match was super well done and made the final pin that much more impactful. Incredible match! ****1/2

Best of the Super Junior 33 Semi-Final Match: Robbie Eagles vs. Kosei Fujita at NJPW Best of the Super Junior 33 Night 13: A really fun match between these two teammates. Lots of mat wrestling and working for holds in the opening few minutes with neither man able to gain a clear advantage. Fujita starts laying in some hard chops and strikes on Eagles, who tries to use his speed and agility to counter it. We get some awesome counters from both men as they know each other so well, which adds a nice level of excitement to every exchange. Eagles is finally able to start targeting Fujita's leg and goes to work on it. Great selling by Fujita, who struggles to work through the pain even failing to bridge back on the Nemosu Special due to the pain in his knee. Eagles keeps working the leg with the Ron Miller Special but Fujita is able to counter out of it several times. A Turbo Backpack gets Eagles a near-fall before rolling right into trying to lock in the Ron Miller Special. Fujita counters into a German Suplex position and muscles Eagles up on his shoulders for the Thrill Ride! What a spot! Cover and Fujita advances to the finals. Just a really good back and forth, counter for counter match. These two had great chemistry and pulled off some exciting exchanges. Eagles was finally able to work the leg late into the match to put Fujita on defense but Fujita's power was able to overcome it and get him the win. ****

Best of the Super Junior 33 Final Match: Kosei Fujita vs. YOH at NJPW Best of the Super Junior 33 Night 14: A really good back and forth match from two technically gifted wrestlers but with very different styles. We start off with some nice mat wrestling early. Both men make a point of toying with the other by using their own stablemates' offense against them at one point. YOH finds a target with the neck of Fujita to set up for the Direct Drive while Fujita applies more of a Zack Sabre Jr. style of offense and picks apart all of YOH with a variety of submissions. We get some nice back and forth action as both are able to take over by utilizing their style. Really good spot in the match with Fujita being able to tie up YOH submissions and make him fight his way to the ropes, at one point YOH even has to bite the ropes to break up the Nemosu Special. Fujita switches to dishing out big offense of his own and bombs YOH with some German Suplexes. Fujita looks for the Thrill Ride but YOH counters with a Crucifix Bomb for a nice near-fall. The two men exchange strikes and YOH is able to land a Rainmaker! YOH keeps wrist control and looks for another but Fujita counters into one of his own! A desperate YOH nails a headbutt but Fujita just drills him with one right back! Abandon Hope by Fujita for a near-fall. Fujita lifts YOH for the Thrill Ride but YOH fights out and hits a GTR! Boma-Ye by Yoh followed by a Rainmaker! Cover! Fujita kicks out at 2! YOH finally hits the Direct Drive for the cover and the win! YOH is the Best of the Super Juniors! A really good match with both men working hard. Fujita wanted to pick apart YOH with submissions and hammer him into defeat while YOH pulled from past teammates to stay alive all match. Really liked the fact that YOH won with his own offense in the end to give himself his first BOSJ win. ****1/4

AEW National Championship Match: Mark Davis (c) vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey at AEW Collision 7/11: A really good battle of speed vs. power. Bell sounds and Bailey goes right to work peppering Davis with strikes and trying to take him off his feet. Davis tries to fight back with his own big strikes but Bailey is nicely able to avoid them with his speed and keeps Davis on defense early. Match spills to the outside and Bailey looks for a Moonsault Knee on the table, but Davis blocks and hits a Piledriver on the announce table! Davis gets some heat on Bailey for a bit before Bailey comes back with a few strikes to rock him. Bailey goes up top and hits an insane Shooting Star Senton! Cover! Davis grabs the ropes at 3! What a near-fall! Bailey starts looking for quick pin attempts, only for Davis to drop him on his head with a nasty Vertebreaker variation! Bailey isn't staying down and tries for more roll-ups before drilling Davis with a Time Adventure! Kickout at 2! Tornado Kick in the corner! Ultimo Weapon! No! Davis moves out the way. Big elbow by Davis as the match rolls to the apron and Davis looks for a Piledriver but Bailey fights him off and goes for the Moonault Knees but misses! Nasty suplex on the apron by Davis as he just drops Bailey back first on it! Big Lariat by Davis back in the ring but Bailey kicks out again! Piledriver by Davis finally ends it! Awesome match! Great in-ring work with Bailey looking to strike fast against the bigger Davis. Lots of great near-falls for both men before Bailey went high risk too many times and Davis was able to batter him into defeat. ****

IWGP Tag Team Championship Match: Knockout Brothers (c) vs. Great O-Khan and HENARE at NJPW Dominion 2026: A physical and violent fight from these two teams! Ice and HENARE go right at it from the start as both throw hard shots at each other. O-Khan gets involved first to help HENARE isolate Ice but OSKAR is able to get a hot tag to keep the Knockout Brothers alive. Rest of the match has a great back and forth flow to it as each team is able to take control by isolating individuals and working them over. Some nice big offense and near-falls with the United Empire hitting a KOB variation on Ice at one point. Things come full circle as Ice and HENARE trade blows in the middle of the ring including closed fists to the head! Referee tries to break it up but they push him out the way and keep trading blows! OSKAR takes out O-Khan and Knockout Brothers hit The Rumbling on HENARE but O-Khan makes the save. OSKAR encourages Ice to finish HENARE as the two trade blows yet again. Ice catches a charging HENARE with a brutal knee right under the jaw for an excellent near-fall. O-Khan cuts off Ice by launching a chair at his head behind the referee's back, which lets HENARE hit Rampage for another near-fall. OSKAR takes the chair from O-Khan, only to get it kicked into his face! Imperial Bomb by the United Empire and we have new champions! Really enjoyed this match! Knockout Brothers were able to take the fight to HENARE and O-Khan and looked to be on even ground with the veteran team. Some really good near-falls for both teams and I liked that OSKAR was pushing Ice to beat HENARE, due to their feud coming into the match. In the end, United Empire had to cheat to stop the Knockout Brothers' momentum and get the win. Little flat of a finish but it worked here. ****1/4

Three Way Match for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship: Andrade El Idolo (c) vs. Drilla Moloney vs. Shota Umino at NJPW Dominion 2026: A very fun 3 way match. Andrade rolls to the outside at the start to allow Shota and Drilla to go at it but both men go after him instead. Lots of good back and forth offense from everyone with all 3 men staying involved in the match most of the time. Andrade does a nice job being the heel of the match as he picks his spots and toys with both opponents at times. Meanwhile, Drilla looks for the Drilla Killa all match and Shota is trying to finally win gold in New Japan. Some great spots throughout the match like Andrade going for a Moonsault on both men but they roll out of the way, only for Andrade to hit a double jump Moonsault on Shota. Andrade locks in a Figure Four on Shota but Drilla is able to break it up with a top rope elbow. Drilla starts running wild with offense from his War Dogs teammates including a Gore and a stiff piledriver when Andrade is able to block the Drilla Killa. Drilla finally hits Andrade with the Drilla Killa but Shota breaks up the pin with a Strike Knee. Another Strike Knee to Drilla before a Lariat takes him out. Andrade tries for the DM but Shota counters into a Paradigm Shift! Second Chapter by Shota and Drilla tries to break up the pin but he is too late! Shota gets the win! While the storytelling was light, there was a lot of good action the whole time from all 3 men. Drilla wanting the Drilla Killa all match was well done and they built the match around that one spot well so that the near-fall felt like a big moment. Shota was able to fight back and get the win in the end for a nice moment. ****

IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match: Callum Newman (c) vs. Yota Tsuji at NJPW Dominion 2026: A really good back and forth match. We get right into the action as Newman looks to move fast against the bigger man. Tsuji is able to cut off Newman and slows things down for a bit with some submissions as he works Newman's neck and back. Newman rolls to the floor to catch his breath and is able to cut off Tsuji by running him into the barricade before dropkicking him into the crowd. Tsuji is able to beat the count getting back in the ring but comes up favoring his midsection, which Newman goes right after. Tsuji is able to make a decent comeback, even landing a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to keep working on Newman's back. Newman escapes to the outside again to cut off Tsuji only to get backdropped on the ramp for a brutal looking bump. Newman nails a kick to stop Tsuji and hits a wild flipping dive off the ramp onto Tsuji! Back in the ring, Newman hits a Double Stomp off the top into the ribs of Tsuji but also catches his left arm under his feet. Now, Tsuji is fighting with one good arm. Newman goes to work on the wounded Tsuji but Tsuji blocks an Oscutter with a knee in mid-air! Newman counters Tsuji with a Made in Essex for a nice near-fall before again taking the match to the outside. Tsuji fights back on the apron but Newman catches him with a knee and hits Excalibur on the apron to send Tsuji crashing onto a table on the floor! Newman is willing to take the count-out but Tsuji makes it back in at 19! Newman stays on Tsuji but makes the mistake of charging him in the corner and Tsuji is able to Belly-to-Belly Suplex Newman into the turnbuckle! Newman is hurting now but keeps trying to fight Tsuji, who lays him out with a Gene Blaster for a 2 count. Tsuji goes for a second Gene Blaster but Newman catches him and puts the brakes on! Newman tries for the Oscutter but Tsuji cuts him in half with a Gene Blaster! Tsuji lines Newman up and finishes him with his new finisher: The Fire Blaster! Cover and we have a new champion! Another really good match from these two. Newman kept going to the outside to cut off and work over the bigger and stronger Tsuji, who sold nicely as Newman picked him apart. However, the size and power of Tsuji was enough to overcome Newman on this night. Newman getting hurt clearly made the finish come sooner but it was still a damn good match. ****

AEW International Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Komander at AEW Dynamite 7/15: An exciting and fast paced match. Some standard back and forth wrestling in the opening minutes with Komander even getting a super close roll-up on Fletcher. Doesn't take Fletcher long though to go to work on Komander with his size and power as he manhandles him in and out of the ring including slamming Komander onto the apron. Fletcher gets cocky though and Komander is able to use his quickness to hit a huge rope walk dive to the outside! Fletcher is able to cut off Komander's momentum to take back over for a bit as he goes for some big offense of his own. Komander slips out of a Turnbuckle Brainbuster and starts running wild on Fletcher! Apron Rana to the floor and another Rana to send Fletcher into the announce table. Back in the ring, Komander hits a 450 for a big near-fall. Fletcher scrambles to stop Komander and tries for a Brainbuster but Komander is able to fight out and hit a 619 to the midsection of Fletcher. Komander springboards into the ring and hits Fletcher with a Mexican Destroyer! 2 count! Komander tries to follow up but Fletcher catches and just smashes him with a Michinoku Driver for a 2 count of his own. Komander slips out of a Lawn Dart and tries for a Moonsault but Fletcher catches him again and muscles him up for a Brainbuster and the win! Really good 10 minute match. Fletcher was cocky about being able to beat Komander with ease and Komander was able to catch him off guard. Once Komander had an opening, he unloaded every big shot he had to try for the upset but Fletcher was able to recover and snuff out his upset win. ****

IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship Match: Shota Umino (c) vs. Gabe Kidd at NJPW Road to G1 Climax 36 Night 6: A physical fight from these two rivals! Gabe dropkicks the referee before the match even starts and Shota rushes to the ring to start off hot! The two men brawl around the arena with Shota even getting busted open at one point. Fight makes its way back to ringside where Gabe gets distracted when he spits in the face of Tanahashi and Shota levels him with a Lariat as he enters the ring. Now, the match officially starts. Both men just swing away at each other with stiff strikes and big bombs including a Suplex on the floor by Gabe in front of Tanahashi. Shota showed great fire as he kept coming back against Gabe and took the fight to him to defend New Japan. Gabe goes for a Lariat but Shota blocks with one of his own and hurts the previously injured shoulder of Gabe. Wait! Gabe was playing possum! Lariat from Gabe! Piledriver and a cover but Shota kicks out! Gabe takes Shota to the outside and piledrives him on the floor in front of Tanahashi! Drill A Hole Piledriver back in the ring but a cocky cover and Shota kicks out! Death Rider by Gabe finally ends it and we have a new champion! A short but super effective match that allowed Gabe to show his disrespect to all things New Japan while Shota fought to try and defend his home. Shota goes down fighting as Gabe begins a reign of terror in New Japan. ****

AEW TNT Championship Match: Kevin Knight (c) vs. Darby Allin at AEW Dynamite 7/22: A really good TV match from these two. Knight takes his time getting in the ring so Darby hits him with a dive to start things off! They brawl for a bit on the floor as Darby brings the aggression early and even hits an insane dive off the top sending both men into the timekeeper's area. Match finally gets in the ring to start, only for Knight to try and run away. Darby follows but gets shoved off the ramp and crotched on the barricade! Ouch! Knight takes over for a bit and gets some heat on Darby with some nice aggression of his own including catapulting Darby into the underside of the ring steps. Darby is able to fight back and hits a Code Red off Bret's rope followed by a second one for a nice near-fall. Knight escapes to the floor and Darby follows with a Coffin Drop! We get some good back and forth action once both men are back in the ring until Knight blocks a Scorpion Death Drop by shoving Darby into the referee. Knight goes for the title belt but Darby blocks his belt shot and hits the Scorpion Death Drop! But no referee! Darby goes to the top for a Coffin Drop but Knight hits him from behind with the title belt. Darby is trapped in the Tree of Woe and Knight hits a Coast to Coast Dropkick! Knight drags the referee back in before hitting a UFO Splash for the win. Really enjoyable TV match that told a nice story. Both men were aggressive as hell all match and brought a nice level of violence to their offense. Knight's attempt to cheat was thwarted by Darby but he took too long to finish off Knight, who recovered and was able to steal a win. ****

G1 Climax 2026 Block B Match: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Shota Umino at NJPW G1 Climax 36 Night 1: A good match between Sabre's technical skills and Shota's hard hitting style. Things start off with some nice mat wrestling and quick exchanges before Sabre is able to go right to work picking apart Shota. Sabre works the neck, legs and arms to wear down Shota, who is able to fire back with some nice strikes. Shota starts going for some big bombs including a Tornado DDT and DDT on the apron to soften Sabre up. Sabre isn't staying down though as he keeps tying up Shota in holds and even fires off his own big strikes. Shota is able to get his foot on the rope to escape a Sabre submission and even comes back with a Shota Driver to stop Sabre's momentum. Sabre doesn't stay down for long though as he hits a Zack Driver of his own to cut off Shota for a nice near-fall. Shota tries to fight back but the damage done to him catches up and Sabre finishes him with a second Zack Driver. Just a really good match that allowed Shota to fight from underneath for most of the match and make some nice comebacks. Sabre's earlier limb and body work paid off as he was able to take enough of Shota's punishment to get the win for himself in the end. ****

G1 Climax 2026 Block B Match: Yuya Uemura vs. Callum Newman at NJPW G1 Climax 36 Night 1: A very good technical and hard hitting match. Bell sounds and Uemura goes right after the bad arm and shoulder of Newman with arm drags. Match goes to the floor early and Newman comes back with a headbutt and dropkicks Uemura into the chairs in the crowd. Newman tries to make the match more of a brawl from here but Uemura stays laser focused on the arm and keeps falling back to his strategy. Some nice arm submissions by Uemura, which forces Newman to fight his way to the ropes until Newman is finally able to counter and hit Prince's Curse out of nowhere for a near-fall. Newman looks for MAKE WAY but Uemura counters and hits the Deadbolt Suplex! Uemura goes to the top and hits the Lions Shiner for a near-fall. Uemura goes for it again but Newman avoids it this time and hits Excalibur! We get some nice back and forth from both men before Uemura tries for the Deadbolt Suplex again but Newman fights his way out and hits Kiss the Crown. MAKE WAY by Newman and he gets the win! Damn good match from both men. Uemura smartly went after the bad arm and shoulder of Newman and forced him to really fight back for any opening. Some really good back and forth action down the stretch before Newman is able to fight off Uemura's Deadbolt Suplex to hit MAKE WAY and get the win. ****

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match: Ryohei Oiwa vs. Oleg Boltin at NJPW G1 Climax 36 Night 1: A good match of technical wrestling vs. power. We get a nice opening sequence of both men trying to grapple and out-power the other. Oleg is able to use his size and power to throw Oiwa around for a bit while Oiwa starts to go after the left arm of Oleg and this becomes the story of the match. Some really nice back and forth action with both men utilizing their strategies perfectly the whole time. Oiwa is able to run Oleg shoulder first into the ring post and the tone of the match shifts as now Oleg is hurt and Oiwa knows it. Oiwa goes to work on the arm, even as Oleg tries to fight back with his power game. Some big offense from Oleg including The Verdict, a Torture Rack and a short range Kamikaze for near-falls but Oiwa stays in the match and locked on the arm. Oiwa locks in an armbar, even bridging on it to put more pressure on Oleg but he still works his way to stand up. Oiwa transitions into a sleeper as Oleg goes to Bret's rope and drops back to break the hold but Oiwa holds on! Oiwa transitions again into the Ark Clutch and Oleg is forced to tap out! Really fun match! The power vs. wrestling story was very well done and I loved how as soon as Oiwa knew he hurt Oleg's arm, he was locked in on it. Oleg tried to use his power to fight back but Oiwa was eventually able to get the submission win. ****

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Yota Tsuji at NJPW G1 Climax 36 Night 1: A great battle from two hard hitting wrestlers! We get a feeling out process to start before Tsuji is able to surprise Takeshita with his agility to take over early. Takeshita starts to fight back with his own big offense and things pick up as both men go back and forth with big offense and counters. Takeshita gets a nice near-fall from a Blue Thunder Bomb but gets countered when going for the Powerdrive Knee into a Boston Crab by Tsuji! Takeshita fights his way up and Tsuji goes for a Gene Blaster but Takeshita cuts him off with a Powerdrive Knee! Holy Shit! Kickout! Takeshita looks for Raging Fire but Tsuji is able to first counter into a roll-up then block with a big headbutt. Silver Lining by Tsuji for a near-fall of his own before kneeing Takeshita in the corner and going for Marlowe Crash. Takeshita cuts off Tsuji on the top rope and hits a Russian Leg Sweep off the top and both men are down! They slowly get to their feet as they trade blows before Takeshita lands a big elbow to rock Tsuji. Takeshita goes for a Powerdrive Knee but Tsuji cuts him off with a Gene Blaster! Kickout at 2! Powerdrive Knee by Tsuji but Takeshita kicks out at 1! A second Gene Blaster still only gets 2! Jesus! Tsuji lines up and hits the Fire Blaster to finally put Takeshita down and get the win! This was an awesome match! A nice start to the match that built and built into both men pulling out all the stops and bombing each other with huge shots. A ton of great counters, sequences and near-falls from both men until Tsuji was finally able to put Takeshita down thanks to his new killing blow. ****1/4

Ladder Match for the #1 Contendership for the AEW International Championship: The Beast Mortos vs. El Clon vs. Komander vs. Nick Wayne vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Jack Perry at AEW Redemption 2026: A pretty fun ladder match full of some wild spots. Everyone gets right into the action as we get a few sequences before the ladders come into play and add to the action. Some nice storytelling mixed into all the action with Wayne and Perry having a bit of a feud, Beast Mortos being the lone monster/big man of the match and even a bit of Perry and Bailey trying to one up each other. Tons of insane spots with the ladders and tables including an insane rope walk splash by Komander to Wayne through a table on the floor! People start getting taken out one by one including Wayne hitting a Phoenix Splash off a ladder through a table to Clon before Perry finally takes out Wayne with a Destroyer from a ladder onto a bridged ladder! Just insane stuff! Bailey takes out Mortos with an Ultimo Weapon while Mortos is draped on the top turnbuckle for an incredible looking spot. Bailey races up the ladder while everyone is recovering and is able to get the contract! Very standard multi-man ladder match but a fun one. Tons of wild action and enough storytelling to stay interesting. ****

The Young Bucks vs. Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay at AEW Redemption 2026: A well done storytelling match. We start off hot with lots of quick offense from both teams. Bucks are able to control early until Ospreay and Nick collide heads and Nick looks out of it. Nick tags out after Ospreay hesitates to attack him, which pisses Moxley off. Matt tries to go it alone but is quickly overwhelmed by the offense of Moxley and Ospreay, plus some shots from Marina Shafir. Matt fights for an opening to make a tag back to Nick, but Moxley pulls Nick from the apron and piledrives him on the floor! Ospreay and Moxley keep working over Matt for a bit longer before Matt is able to fight for another opening and this time makes the tag to Nick! Nick runs wild and the Bucks take back control with some tag team offense. Bucks go for the TK Driver but Ospreay and Moxley are able to reverse into a Styles Clash and Piledriver respectively on the Bucks. Things pick up as we get some incredible back and forth action including an insane exchange ending with the Bucks hitting Moxley with the BTE Trigger but Ospreay dives in with a Hidden Blade to break up the pin! Ospreay and Nick trade shots with Ospreay clearly avoiding Nick's head with his strikes before finally hitting a Rolling Elbow and several Hook Kicks right to Nick's head. Ospreay looks to finish off Nick with elbows to the back of the head but doesn't want to hurt the man and doesn't go through with it. Moxley is having none of it and tags himself in to hit a Stomp on Nick. Matt tries to make the save but Moxley is all over Nick as he hits a trio of Paradigm Shifts. Moxley grabs a chair and shoves down the referee when he tries to stop him but Ospreay takes the chair away! He doesn't want to do it like this. Matt superkicks the chair into Ospreay's face! BTE Trigger to Moxley but Moxley is still up! A barrage of Superkicks to Moxley before he finally drops and Nick covers for the win! A really good match. The action took a back seat to the storytelling as Ospreay couldn't become a full Death Rider and just brutalize the injured Nick, which led right into the finish. Some incredible back and forth stuff before that with some amazing near-falls. ****1/4

AEW International Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Bandido at AEW Redemption 2026: An incredible back and forth match. Some quick counters and exchanges early with Bandido even getting a super close near-fall. Fletcher tries to slow the pace down and work over Bandido, who tries to use his quickness to keep Fletcher on his toes. Some really good counters early including Bandido going for an Asai Moonsault but Fletcher catches him with a Superkick! Fletcher keeps up the pressure with a Powerbomb on the apron before working him over more. Bandido is finally able to fight back with some power offense of his own including a Gorilla Press before a nice near-fall from a Frog Splash. Bandido looks for a Gorilla Press off the apron but Fletcher slips out and Brainbusters Bandido on the apron! Jesus! Bandido just barely makes it to his feet and back in the ring before the 10 count. Fletcher keeps on Bandido but takes too long mocking the crowd and Bandido is able to counter a Half-and-Half Suplex into a German Suplex. Fletcher grabs the ropes to stop Bandido but Bandido instead locks his arms and hits a fucking 21-Dragon Suplex! What a move! Kickout! Bandido follows with a sunset flip and a Powerbomb on the floor! Bandido goes to the top and hits a Goddamn Frog Splash from the top rope to the floor! Holy Shit! Bandido gets Fletcher back in the ring and hits a top rope Shooting Star Press but Fletcher somehow kicks out! These two are still going at it, even trading headbutts when they can barely stand. Fletcher looks for the Turnbuckle Brainbuster but Bandido fights it off into a Blockbuster! Cover but Fletcher gets his hand on the bottom rope! X-Knee by Bandido and he finally hits the 21-Plex! 1...2.. NO! Fletcher kicks out! Bandido goes for the 21-Plex again but Fletcher catches him with a Lariat this time! A Takeshita Powerdrive Knee by Fletcher and a Brainbuster! Kickout by Bandido! Fletcher again goes for the Turnbuckle Brainbuster but Bandido fights out to escape but leaps back to the top and Fletcher hits him with a Bret's rope Michinoku Driver for another 2 count! Lawn Dart into the buckle and Fletcher finally ends things with a Turnbuckle Brainbuster! What a fucking match! Maybe a bit too much with all the near-falls but this was two guys going to war with each other and dishing out everything they could. Just an incredible match from two amazing wrestlers! ****1/2

No Holds Barred Match: Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa at AEW Redemption 2026: A violent and brutal match between these two. Bell sounds and both men come out swinging away with a barbed wire bat and a chair respectively. Ciampa gets the best of the exchange but Jericho hits a Codebreaker to stop him early and throws sand in his face. From there, the match is a wild brawl all around the ring with tables, fire extinguisher, hockey sticks and even hockey pucks covered in tacks. Jericho attacks Ciampa at one point with sandpaper and Ciampa is busted open! Ciampa tries to fight back but Jericho locks him in the Walls of Jericho! Ciampa gets ahold of the barbed wire bat and hits Jericho to break the hold. Ciampa looks to put Jericho through a barbed wire table but Jericho counters with a Death Valley Driver from the apron through the table! Jericho goes to Hurricanrana Ciampa from the top but Ciampa low blows him. Psycho Driller from Bret's rope through a mirror! Good Lord! Jericho still kicks out! Ciampa grabs a drill to use on Jericho but Jericho sprays him with mist! Judas Effect! Ciampa kicks out! Jericho smashes Ciampa with another mirror and nails a Judas Effect with an elbow pad covered in thumbtacks! Ciampa kicks out again! Jericho takes the fucking drill to Ciampa's head! Holy Fuck! Ciampa taps and Jericho gets the win! A really inventive and creative hardcore match. Some really great spots that sold the feud between these two. Also credit for a truly gross looking finish. ****

AEW World Championship Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Kevin Knight at AEW Redemption 2026: An awesome match of the veteran champion vs. the young up and coming challenger. Knight jumps Omega before the bell to start things off hot. Story of the match early on is that Knight is the faster and more athletic of the two but Omega is the better striker and more equipped to throw bombs in a big title match like this. Knight does a nice job cutting off Omega's momentum by being faster and tries to wear him down for some heat but Omega keeps fighting back and even pushes Knight to do the same. Knight is able to avoid a One-Winged Angel early but Omega hits him with a trio of Snap Dragon Suplexes with one in the ring, one on the apron and the last one on the announcer's table! Back in the ring, Omega lays in the V-Triggers as he tells Knight to fight back, which he does with a gorgeous DDT! Omega comes back though with some big offense of his own before going to the top but is cut off by Knight and trapped in the Tree of Woe. Coast to Coast Dropkick by Knight! Knight goes to the outside and grabs both belts and uses one to draw the referee's attention. Crash Landing on the second belt! Kickout by Omega! UFO Splash by Knight but Omega gets his knees up! One-Winged Angel... NO! Knight flips out of it and goes for a leaping clothesline but Omega catches him with a V-Trigger in mid-air! One-Winged Angel hits and Omega retains! This was a damn good match that showed that Knight could hang with the top of the card. Omega was able to control most of the match, thanks to his experience in big matches like this, but I liked that Knight was able to be a step faster than him at times to find openings and work him over. Knight avoided every big shot Omega threw and did everything he could to win but it just wasn't enough to take down Omega. ****1/2

3 Way Match for the AEW National Championship: Andrade El Idolo (c) vs. Jack Perry vs. Nick Wayne at AEW Dynamite 7/29: A fun, fast paced and action filled match. Perry superkicks Andrade right at the start to go after Wayne by himself for a nice opening spot. Perry and Wayne go after each other with some nice heated exchanges before Andrade gets back involved and we get a proper 3 way match. Some really well done 3 way spots from everyone including Perry hitting a Hurricanrana from the apron to send Andrade to the floor, only for Wayne to hit a nasty diving Destroyer through the ropes! Everyone gets in some close near-falls down the stretch with Perry hitting a Liger Bomb on Wayne, Andrade missing a Frog Splash and Wayne hitting a Phoenix Splash, only for Perry to break up the pin. Perry charges Andrade for a knee but Andrade catches him with a back elbow! Wayne tries for a roll-up on Andrade with the ropes but Andrade kicks out and hits the DM to get the win. Just 3 men going out to the ring and having a fun match to sit back and watch. ****
