Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Adam Page at AEW All In 2025: A bloody and violent display of wrestling brilliance! Match starts and both men come out swinging. Moxley tries to stab Page with a fork early only for Page to trap Moxley in a triangle choke and stab him with his own fork. Moxley is POURING blood right away! Here we go! Moxley takes back over by going after Page with barbed wire to bust him open as well and starts to punish the Hangman. A barbed wire wrapped chair and broken glass comes into play as Moxley seems to enjoy punishing Page and forcing him to get back to his feet every time. Page is able to fight back by powerbombing Moxley into a pair of open chairs for a brutal spot. Wheeler Yuta tries to get involved but is quickly smacked down by the Hangman. Page looks for the Buckshot Lariat but Marina Shafir jumps on his back and tries to choke him out. Page lifts her up and hits a Death Valley Driver off the apron through a table! Dead Eye by Page into the glass on Moxley! Claudio Castagnoli rushes out to start hammering on Page as Moxley tries to recover. Will Ospreay comes to Page's rescue but Gabe Kidd is there to stop him! Piledriver on the floor before Claudio stomps a chair wrapped around Ospreay's neck! Ospreay is done! Moxley comes back with a suplex off the apron through barbed wire tables. Both men are bloody and battered but keep trying to fight! Moxley with a bulldog choke and looks to choke out Page but he still gets to his feet! Death Rider into an open chair! Page STILL won't stay down! Moxley calls for the Death Riders to hand him a plastic bag to choke the life out of Page! A video plays on the screen... It's Darby Allin! Someone in a mask rushes the ring and hits Yuta with a Busaiku Knee! It's Bryan Danielson!!! He dives to take out the Death Riders! Darby literally descends from the roof of the building! Moxley looks like he has seen a ghost! Page comes in with a Buckshot Lariat! Darby Coffin Drops to the outside into the Death Riders as he and Danielson fight them to the back! Another Buckshot and Moxley rolls to the apron. Dead Eye off the apron through a table! Marina helps Moxley to his feet at 9 to break the count. The Young Bucks are in the ring behind Page! Superkicks and an EVP Trigger! Moxley and Marina bring a bed of nails into the ring! Curb Stomp and a Death Rider into the nails! Jesus! Page still gets to his feet! Moxley tells Marina to get the briefcase but as she does, Prince Nana handcuffs her to the barricade! Swerve Strickland knocks out the Bucks with a chain! Swerve hands Page the chain! Page tries to choke out Moxley but Moxley is able to fight it off. Buckshot Lariat by Page and Moxley lands on the bed of nails! Page chokes Moxley with the chain and hangs him over the rope! Moxley is panicking as the life is choked out of him! Moxley taps!!! Adam Page is the AEW World Champion! HOLY FUCK! This match was a perfect storm of violence, blood, callbacks, run-ins and a perfect finish to an 8 month storyline! Perfect Pro Wrestling Violence! *****
Kenny Omega vs. Gabe Kidd at NJPW/CMLL/AEW Wrestle Dynasty 2025: An incredible, story and drama filled match! Things start off with both men working a more heated and stiff style even in the lock-up. Some nice storytelling early with Omega protecting his abdominal area due to his injury and Gabe looking to go after it. Doesn't take long for the match to spill out to the floor and Omega ups the violence by powerbombing Gabe through a table! The referee and Bullet Club check on Gabe and Omega dives on everyone! Omega seems to have hurt himself on the dive though as a busted up Gabe is able to fight back with some chair shots and suplexes Omega through a table! Gabe bashes Omega with pieces of the table and Omega is pouring blood! We got a fight going on! Both men use chairs to slam the other onto and attack with. These two want to hurt each other! The big bombs start coming with Omega hitting a Jay Driller and a V-Trigger. Omega tries to lift Gabe up for the One-Winged Angel but his midsection won't let him. Gabe counters into an Inoki Abdominal Stretch for a HUGE pop! What a fucking moment from a basic wrestling move! Gabe drops Omega on his head with multiple piledrivers but Omega won't stay down! Omega catches Gabe with a V-Trigger! Powerbomb into Kamigoye! Omega gets Gabe up for the One-Winged Angel, hits it and gets the win! What a match! Omega makes his return to wrestling and shows that he is still one of the best in the world. Meanwhile, Gabe came out defending NJPW and gave an all time performance while coming across like a star. Every blow, every piece of offense and every moment felt important to the match. This was pro wrestling done right. *****
Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Men's Tournament Final Match: Adam Page vs. Will Ospreay at AEW Double or Nothing 2025: An incredible back and forth match between two of the best wrestlers in AEW. We get some nice standard offense early on with the story being weaved into the action so well. Page is the tougher and harder hitting wrestler of the two while Ospreay is faster, more agile and able to string together offense more quickly than Page. Both men go for their biggest shot early, the Buckshot Lariat and Hidden Blade respectively, and both are able to be avoided. From there, we get a fantastic back and forth pace to the match with Page trying to just hammer Ospreay into defeat while Ospreay looks to weather the storm and chip away at Page. A great but simple spot is Ospreay backing Page into the corner with elbows only for Page to drop Ospreay with one stiff elbow. Ospreay is able to fight Page, but Page has the power to drop him with one big shot. The back and forth exchanges keep coming as both men start going for the bigger bombs and even pull out some different moves. Page tries for Daniels' Best Moonsault Ever but slips on it, allowing Ospreay to nail a Hidden Blade only for Page to roll to the apron and avoid the pin. Ospreay follows and hits Page with a Style Clash from the apron to the floor! Holy shit! Page just beats the count getting back in the ring, only to be hit with an Oscutter and yet he still kicks out! Ospreay starts to get frustrated at Page's tenacity and tries to put him through the announcer's table. Page is able to reverse Ospreay and hits Dead Eye as the table collapses, so Page hits a second one on the rubble for good measure. Page gets Ospreay in the ring and sets up for the Buckshot. Ospreay locks eyes with Page and readys the Hidden Blade. The two men charge! Page hits the Buckshot Lariat! Ospreay kicks out! Page tries for another Buckshot but Ospreay is there with the Hidden Blade this time! Stormbreaker! Page kicks out! My God! Ospreay tries for another Hidden Blade to the back of Page's head but Page collapses at the last moment for Ospreay to miss it. What a spot! Ospreay hits a V-Trigger and even goes for the One-Winged Angel, only for Page to block and counter with Big Pressure but Ospreay gets a foot on the ropes. Awesome touch of these two using offense from their greatest rivals. Page again goes back to the Buckshot but Ospreay blocks again and tries for the Stormbreaker. Page slips out and nails a big Lariat. One final Buckshot Lariat! Page does it! Page wins the Owen and is going to All In! What a match! The slow build of these two starting out with different strategies but on even footing. Ospreay slowly realizing that he is not able to out-strike Page and having to try for bigger and bigger offense while Page stuck to looking for the Buckshot all match as the Ace up his sleeve. In the end, Page was able to deliver a decisive Buckshot Lariat to get the win. A damn near perfect match. *****
Anarchy in the Arena Match: Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, The Opps and Willow Nightingale vs. Death Riders and The Young Bucks at AEW Double or Nothing 2025: A wild and chaotic fight! Everyone starts off hot as they brawl all over the arena and action is too crazy to call. Moxley stabbing Hobbs with a fork! Shibata PK-ing Yuta with a barbed wire wrapped boot. Claudio swinging Swerve into a speaker to shut off the music. Willow getting chained to the ring post by her ear! Swerve going wild with a staple gun to everyone! Hobbs and Willow clearing house and looking like beasts! The Bucks superkicking everyone including Rick Knox. Hook returns to attack Claudio but leaves the match. Joe gets Moxley in a choke when Gabe Kidd runs in to attack and stop the babyfaces. EVP Trigger to Omega with tacks in his mouth! The match works its way back to the ramp where Mark Briscoe joins in the fight! The babyfaces are able to lock the Death Riders in an ambulance and hold the doors closed. It's down to the Bucks vs. Omega and Swerve! V-Trigger and House Call to the Bucks. Swerve puts on shoes covered in tacks! Omega with a One-Winged Angel to Matt off the stage through an exploding table! Holy shit! Swerve Stomp by Swerve with the tacks on Nick and that is it! What a match! The chaos, the wild spots, the crowd going insane, the perfect blending of so many angles and storylines all in one match and topped off with some awesome music playing over the action. This was pure wrestling fun in the best way possible! *****
Continental Classic 2025 Semi-Final Match: Jon Moxley vs. Kyle Fletcher at AEW World's End 2025: A masterpiece of pro wrestling while also doing a babyface turn in the match. Fletcher looks to stall early on but Moxley makes him pay as he takes the fight to him on the outside. Fletcher goes after Moxley's bad leg though and turns the match around, even trapping the leg between the ring steps and kicking it. Moxley is now fighting on one good leg and Fletcher is not letting up. Some nice submission work by Fletcher to work the leg but Moxley keeps fighting back and hitting desperation offense to buy time. Moxley tries for a stomp on the apron but Fletcher avoids it and nails a Brainbuster on the apron! Fletcher looks for the count-out but Moxley rolls back in at 9 to stay in the match! Liger Bomb still only gets 2 but Fletcher goes right into a Half Crab and really torques on the leg. Moxley is able to fight out of the hold and gets in the Bulldog Choke to a huge pop from the crowd! Fletcher fights as well and reverses to lock in an Ankle Lock! Moxley starts to panic! He has tapped out to this hold before! But this time Moxley isn't giving up! He is fighting to the ropes as the crowd gets behind him and erupts in cheers as Moxley gets to the ropes! Fletcher is furious and stomps at Moxley and looks for the Turnbuckle Brainbuster. Moxley is still fighting back though as he gets behind Fletcher and hits a nasty Sleeper Suplex from the top that drops Fletcher onto the back of his head! Jesus! Stomp by Moxley but only a 2 as Fletcher rolls back into a crucifix pin for his own 2 count. Fletcher comes back with a Half and Half Suplex and a knee but only gets a 1 count! Brainbuster by Fletcher and still only 2! Moxley will not die! Fletcher goes to the turnbuckle and looks for something. He is looking for the screwdriver that Okada took in the last match! Moxley catches Fletcher in a small package but he kicks out. Paradigm Shift! 2 count! Moxley finally hits the Death Rider but that only gets 2! What is it gonna take?! Sleeper by Moxley locked in! Fletcher is trying to fight out of it but Moxley is holding on tight and won't let go. Fletcher passes out and the referee calls it! Moxley is going to the C2 Finals! Holy Fuck! What a match! Fletcher beat the hell out of a wounded Moxley for most of the match but Moxley wouldn't stop fighting back. Even when trapped in the same submission that made him tap out in the past, Moxley kept fighting to win and the crowd got more and more behind him as the match went on. Incredible action and near-falls but the story of Moxley fighting to redeem himself in the ring was something special to see. *****
Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay vs. The Young Bucks at AEW All In 2025: An amazing action and story filled tag team match. From the opening bell we get a clear story: the Bucks are the better tag team while Ospreay and Swerve struggle early on to find their rhythm as a team. We get some nice flurries of offense from Ospreay and Swerve but it doesn't take the Bucks long each time to cut them off and take back control. Bucks isolate and work over Ospreay for a bit before Swerve gets the hot tag and things pick up. We get some crazy back and forth action including the Bucks hitting dual Destroyers only for Ospreay and Swerve to come back with a Hidden Blade and House Call! A pair of Styles Clashs from the babyface before they hit a Stormbreaker/Swerve Stomp combo for a big near-fall. The Bucks feel the match slipping away and get desperate. A roll-up attempt with Matt's feet on the ropes before a low blow to Ospreay and a TK Driver to Swerve on the floor put the Bucks right back in control. Nick hits Ospreay with a Hidden Blade before More Bang For Your Buck. Kickout! Ospreay tries to block an EVP Trigger but the Bucks are able to hit it. Swerve makes the save! Swerve and Ospreay start to fight back but Ospreay misses Nick with a Hidden Blade and hits Swerve! EVP Trigger to Ospreay again! Another kickout! Holy Shit! TK Driver to Ospreay but he STILL kicks out! The Bucks hang Ospreay on the ropes and start peppering him with Superkicks until Swerve steps in between them. Swerve takes the shots for Ospreay! Bucks go for the EVP Trigger but Swerve catches the knees! Hidden Blade by Ospreay to Nick! Tombstone/Double Stomp combo by Ospreay and Swerve to Matt! Kickout! Hidden Blade to Matt but Nick makes the save! Jesus, this match! Swerve takes out Nick with a Swerve Stomp to the outside. Hidden Blade/House Call combo on Matt! Cover and Ospreay and Swerve get the win! What a fucking match! From the slower start to show off how good the Bucks are as a team to Ospreay and Swerve working together more and more as the match goes on. Ospreay accidently hitting Swerve for the big near-fall was incredible as was Swerve taking the bullets for Ospreay afterwards. One of the best tag team matches all year! *****
Steel Cage Match: Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher at AEW Revolution 2025: An incredible, bloody and violent match from these former friends. These two go right at it as soon as the bell rings and we are off! Some great early back and forth with both having to adapt to working in a cage for the first time, which was a nice touch. Doesn't take long before Fletcher runs Ospreay into the cage to bust him open and go to work on him for a bit of heat. Fletcher tries to use an exposed turnbuckle on Ospreay, who is able to counter and hit a Cheeky Nandos Kick and run Fletcher into the cage to bust him open. We got us a double juice grudge match right here! Big spots back and forth including an awesome spot with both men laying in Kawada kicks and the blood flies everywhere. Hell Yes! Mark Davis runs out with a bunch of weapons and tries to enter the cage, only for Ospreay to kick the door into his face! Ospreay opens the bag of weapons and gets out a barbed wire bat, which he uses on Fletcher! My God! Fletcher begs off Ospreay and even shows off his old United Empire armband, which allows him to low blow Ospreay. Fletcher takes too long toying with Ospreay and misses a swing of the bat and is hit by a Hidden Blade from Ospreay! Stormbreaker and cover! A bloody Mark Davis makes the save! Aussie Open goes for Coriolis but Ospreay counters with a Reverse Rana on Fletcher! Davis with a chair and Ospreay blasts him with a Hidden Blade and locks him out of the cage! Oscutter off the cage! Kickout! Fletcher tries to escape and grabs the screwdriver to stab Ospreay! Brainbuster on a chair! Ospreay kicks out. Fletcher breaks out thumbtacks, only for Ospreay to counter another Brainbuster into a Style Clash into the tacks! Jesus! Fletcher tries to escape again but Ospeay follows and attacks with the screwdriver! Spanish Fly off the top of the fucking cage! Holy Shit! Fletcher screams he hates Ospreay before Ospreay nails a Hidden Blade. Tiger Driver by Ospreay and it is over! WOW! What a match! These two laid in every strike and piece of offense they had and looked to kill each other. Loved that they focused early on with just using the cage as a weapon before the crazier weapons and gimmicks came into play. The Davis run-in wasn't my favorite part but it still worked here. Incredible feud ending match! ****3/4
ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita at ROH Supercard of Honor 2025: An incredible bell to bell action-filled match! We get a good opening few minutes of mat wrestling with both working for the advantage before both men settle into their strategy of the match. Bandido looks to use his speed, agility and impressive strength while Takeshita looks to just hammer Bandido into the ground. Some great early back and forth and near-falls as neither man is able to keep control for very long. Things start to build as both men start hitting bigger offenses like a Code Red by Bandido and a Blue Thunder Bomb by Takeshita. Bandido tries for the 21-Plex but Takeshita blocks it and nails an elbow before starting to rip at Bandido's mask. Don Callis comes to ringside and distracts the referee, which allows Takeshita to block a Bandido dive with a chair to the face to bust open the champion. Takeshita keeps up the aggression with a Brainbuster on the ramp for a close count-out. Bandido struggles to fight back as Takeshita tries to choke the fight out of him for another close win. Bandido finally rallies and starts firing back on the bigger man. More back and forth action until Bandido goes for the 21-Plex but Takeshita lands on his feet! Chaos Theory by Takeshita but Bandido lands on his feet! X-Knee by Bandido and he finally hits the 21-Plex! Kick-out! My God! Moonsault Slam for another 2 count! Bandido goes for a Shooting Star Press but Takeshita gets his knees up. Roll-up by Takeshita but only gets 2! Bandido pulls down his knee pad to hit another X-Knee. 21-Plex attempted again but Takeshita blocks and hits a Bastard Driver right into a Wheelbarrow German! Powerdrive Knee by Takeshita! Cover! Bandido kicks out at 1! Holy Shit! Takeshita looks to end with a Raging Fire but Bandido is able to roll him up! Cover and 3!!! Bandido gets the win! My God! What a match! The slow build these two pulled off before we got one of the wildest finishing stretches of the year. Bandido is able to keep fighting after Takeshita throws everything he has at Bandio and finally is able to counter Takeshita's best shot into a quick roll-up to pull off an upset win. Just an amazing match! ****3/4
AEW International Championship Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Kenny Omega at AEW Revolution 2025: A very different and slower paced match between these two foes. Match starts and we get the clear roles early on: Takeshita is more powerful than the more experienced and faster Omega. Takeshita is able to ground Omega early and wastes no time going after his still healing midsection, which becomes the story of the match. Everytime Omega starts to fire up and mount any sort of comeback or offense, Takeshita goes right back to the ribs to cut him off. Perfect psychology there. Match does a great job of giving Omega just enough to make you buy into each of his comebacks as little by little he starts to gain more and more ground on Takeshita, even as Takeshita ups the aggression by dropping Omega, ribs first, on an overturned table, twice! Omega is able to finally mount some real offense by laying in some V Triggers to rock Takeshita, who still fires back with his own strikes including an awesome spot where Omega covers up so Takeshita fires an elbow into his ribs. Brilliant! Omega tries for the One-Winged Angel but his ribs won't let him as Takeshita starts to hit more and more big bombs to try and put Omega away. A Powerdrive Knee gets Takeshita a 2 count and a follow up knee only gets a 1! Omega will not go down! A piledriver puts Omega back in control as does a pair of V Triggers. Omega goes for the One-Winged Angel again but Don Callis grabs Takeshita's hands to block it. Omega changes course and rolls up Takeshita in a Crucifix pin and gets the 3! Out of nowhere! Omega is champion! I loved this match! Perfect selling and storytelling all match that showed that Takeshita maybe has truly surpassed Omega in terms of in-ring ability but Omega still had too much heart to go down easy. Omega fought back time and time again before finally being able to out-wrestle Takeshita just long enough to get the pin. Omega doesn't beat Takeshita so much as get one over on him. Incredible stuff! ****3/4
Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Men's Tournament Semi-Final Match: Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Dynamite 4/16-Spring Breakthru: An absolutely incredible bell to bell wrestling match! Story of the match is clear early on with Takeshita being the bigger and stronger of the two so Ospreay has to use his speed to try and match him. Great wrestling exchanges early on that all works to highlight the story of the match as things start to build up. The counters and exchanges start coming bigger and faster like Ospreay countering a Bret's rope Brainbuster into a Stundog Millionaire before hitting an Oscutter on the ramp! Back in the ring, Ospreay looks for another Oscutter but Takeshita catches him for a Blue Thunder Bomb. NO! Ospreay counters again and is able to hit the Oscutter! So good! Ospreay looks for Stormbreaker but Takeshita counters and starts bombing Ospreay with suplexes and laying in his devastating elbows. Match picks up as both men start firing their best shots for only 1 counts! Ospreay hits Takeshita with a Bastard Driver but Takeshita fires back with a Hidden Blade! This match is insane! Takeshita cuts off Ospreay on the top rope and hits a Lariat off the top but Ospreay lands on his feet! Hidden Blade! 2 count! Takeshita blocks a second one and goes for Raging Fire, but Ospreay slips out. Styles Clash! 2 count! Hidden Blade... NO! Takeshita blocks with a knee but Ospreay catches Takeshita and hits the Stormbreaker for the win! Holy Fuck, what a match! The slow build of this match was great all leading to one of the craziest back and forth finishing stretches of the year. Just a wild match with two incredible wrestlers! ****3/4
IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship Match: Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Gabe Kidd at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka 2025: This was a fight! Both men slapped each other before the bell and smiled. Here we go! We get a physical lock-up early before Gabe makes this a fight by just chopping and forearming the hell of Tsuji. Loved seeing Gabe pushing Tsuji to prove himself and fire back, which Tsuji does and the match breaks down into two warriors going at it. Back and forth shots all match with each wanting the other to stand and fight. This was awesome. As things go on, we get some nice big bombs and even a nice callback to their Young Lion days with Tsuji using the Boston Crab for a great near-fall. Tsuji goes for Gene Blaster but Gabe counters with an Inoki Abdominal Stretch! So great! More vicious strikes from both men before Tsuji tries for another Gene Blaster but Gabe counters with a piledriver this time! Gabe starts rolling and turns Tsuji inside out with a Lariat. Gabe looks for the Oni Knee but Tsuji cuts him in half with a Gene Blaster! Both men are down and can't make it to their feet as the referee counts to 10. The match is ruled a draw! I loved this! A physical back and forth fight with these two men just beating the hell out of each other. Loved Gabe having the Gene Blaster well scouted and with ways to counter it but left himself open for one when going for the killing blow. Unfortunately, Tsuji had taken too much punishment to take advantage and both men were counted out for the draw. Can't wait for the rematch! ****3/4
Lights Out Steel Cage Match: Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi and The Golden Lovers vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd and The Young Bucks at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2025: An epic war between these two teams! The heels charge into the cage and here we go! Everyone goes right at it and we get so many storylines, angles and old feuds all coming together here in this match. Darby and Moxley get handcuffed together as they go at it. The Bucks try to up the violence early with a bag of stuff but it turns out to be gummy bears for a good bit of fun. Weapons do enter the match as the heels go to work on the babyface team and bust open Ospreay and Darby. Really love the story of Ospreay coming in hurt so the heels naturally go after his neck. Moxley stabs Darby in the ear with a fork before Claudio tosses him into the cage! Tanahashi makes a big babyface comeback for his team before Claudio takes him out with a Neutralizer. Bucks hit Tanahashi with a BTE Trigger for the cover but Ospreay makes the save as the babyfaces rally. Tanahashi tries to use a ladder to climb the cage, only for Omega and Ibushi to talk him down in another fun spot. But Ospreay does climb the cage to hit an insane moonsault! Omega and Gabe go at it to rekindle their feud until Omega and Ospreay take him out with a V-Trigger/Hidden Blade combo! We get a wild sequence of everyone hitting big offense on each other ending with Omega nailing Moxley with the One-Winged Angel for a cover but it is broken up. Moxley climbs the cage to escape with Yuta's help but Darby chases after him. Darby knocks Yuta off the cage and through the announce table and goes after Moxley! Darby sets Moxley on a stack of tables and climbs the cage for a Coffin Drop, but Gabe is there to stop him. Gabe locks Darby in a sleeper, but Darby goes for the eyes and takes him and Gabe off the cage through the tables! Good Lord! In the ring, Nick is the sacrificial lamb as The Golden Lovers hit a Golden Trigger on him, followed by a One-Winged Angel/Hidden Blade by Omega and Ospreay. Finally, Tanahashi climbs to the top and hits a High Fly Flow to get the win! What a match! Bloody and violent while still doing some amazing storytelling. I really loved that Moxley escaped the cage to avoid paying for his crimes but came back after the match to take out Ospreay. Brilliant match! ****3/4
Three Way Match for the AEW International Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Ricochet at AEW Dynasty 2025: An incredible bell to bell action and story-filled match. We get roles for everyone in the match: Omega the defending champion trying to prove he is still the best bout machine, Bailey the new fiery babyface and Ricochet the opportunistic heel looking to do whatever it takes to win. Excellent pace to the match with everyone taking their time to feel each other out and even look for quick pins early on before we got to the bigger spots of the match. Bailey starts rolling and laying in his strikes and big dives until Ricochet chop blocks his knee and goes to work on it. Bailey sells the knee perfectly while still trying to fight back and stay in the match. So many great exchanges, counters and near-falls for everyone like Omega trying for the One-Winged Angel, only for Ricochet to counter with a Vertigo attempt and Omega instead hits Croyt’s Wrath. Bailey tries for Ultimo Weapon on Omega, who rolls out the way and locks in a knee bar on the bad knee of Bailey, only for Ricochet to break it up with a 450. Ricochet goes for a Spirit Gun but Bailey blasts him with a Crane Kick to the face! Ultimo Weapon on Ricochet but Omega breaks up the pin with a V Trigger! Ricochet sets up Bailey for a top rope Vertigo but Omega gets behind Ricochet and hits an Avalanche One-Winged Angel! Bailey is trapped in the Tree of Woe and can't escape in time to stop the cover and the 3 for Omega to retain! WOW! What a match! Way too much action to describe everything but these 3 went out here and tore the house down with an incredible match! Loved that all 3 men stayed involved for most of the match and that everyone got a chance to shine and look like they could pull off the win. One of the best Three Way matches ever! ****3/4
Hollywood Ending for the AEW Women's World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Mariah May at AEW Revolution 2025: This was a war! Mariah charges Toni on the ramp and we are off! Mariah slams Toni early and pulls out a taser, luckily Luther stops her from using it, only to get low blowed and dropkicked into a tower of glasses for his efforts. Toni fires back with a chokebomb off the stage through a table! Match makes its way toward the ring and Toni misses a hip attack into the steps, which allows Mariah to hit Storm Zero on the steps! Toni is busted open and pouring blood! Mariah keeps on Toni with more weapon shots but a German Suplex by Toni gives her a breather. Both women retrieve buckets of broken glass and tape up their fists before sticking them in the glass! Jesus! Toni clocks Mariah and now Mariah is busted open! Both women are bleeding like crazy as they go back and forth slamming each other and hitting big bombs in the glass! This is violent! Toni goes to the outside and gets the shoe that Mariah turned on her with! Mariah tries to escape up the ramp as Toni follows. May Day on the ramp by Mariah but Toni kicks out! Toni gets the shoe again and brutally attacks Mariah with it! Storm Zero through a table on the stage and that's it! This was an insane feud ending match. So many crazy spots and moments before the whole thing wraps up in a mirrored version of how the feud started with Toni using the shoe on Mariah to get the win. This was a bloody, violent and cinematic ending to an incredible feud! ****1/2
Title vs. Mask Match for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship: MJF (c) vs. Mistico at CMLL 92nd Anniversary Show: An absolutely incredible and drama-filled match! Mistico makes his big entrance, only to be immediately attacked by MJF, who starts tearing at his mask. MJF runs Mistico into the ring post on the outside and Mistico is pouring blood! MJF takes his time getting the heat on Mistico and enjoys every second of punishment he dishes out while Mistico valiantly fights from underneath. Every Mistico hope spot is quickly shut down by MJF while Mistico loses more and more blood and the crowd feverious cheer on their hero. This is pro wrestling at its best! Love MJF taking little shortcuts like a poke to the eye or using his second Jon Cruz to attack Mistico on the outside. Mistico starts rolling with a comeback and hits some big dives, but in a brilliant moment, struggles to find the strength to get back in the ring due to the blood loss and barely beats the count. So good! Match picks up as both men start looking for the bigger and bigger bombs like a Destroyer from Mistico and a Package Piledriver on the apron by MJF for a super close count-out again. We get a great spot of MJF trying for the Salt of the Earth only for Mistico to get a crucifix pin for a near-fall. Mistico tries for La Mística and MJF swings him right into a Tombstone for another near-fall. MJF tries to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring but Mistico is finally able to beat MJF at his own game and nails a low blow! Top rope hurricanrana by Mistico and he hits La Mística! MJF tries to reach the ropes but Mistico rolls back to the center of the ring and MJF taps! What a match! Simple pro wrestling done to perfection by two of the best! Heel bloodies and batters the babyface until the babyface makes the big comeback to win in front of his home country. Sometimes the simplest things are the best. ****1/2
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match: Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Hirooki Goto at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka 2025: An exciting and emotional match! Goto comes in looking to finally win the World Title but Sabre isn't going to let him do so easily. Match plays out how you expect early on with Goto having the power advantage so Sabre goes to the neck to start picking him apart. Goto cuts off Sabre's momentum with an Ushigiroshi and starts working Sabre's neck himself. Goto starts rolling and even hits a one man Shoto in the corner for a nice near-fall but Sabre hits a Zack Driver to stop Goto in his tracks. Sabre is back in the driver seat and looks to tap out Goto but the crowd cheers him on as he makes it to the ropes for a huge pop! Sabre tries to stay on Goto, but Goto is fighting back! Goto hits Shoten and the crowd is rocking for him! Goto could do this! Goto looks for the GTR but Sabre keeps blocking and countering it. Sabre with a European Clutch! It's over! 1,2... Kickout! Goto is still in this! Lariat by Goto! GTR! And another GTR! Goto is the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion! What a match! Sabre tried to play spoiler here for Goto and go through his trademark playbook but Goto was not having it tonight. Sabre even broke out the Zack Driver early just to stop the momentum of Goto but with the crowd and his family behind him, Goto was not staying down tonight. Even at the end, Sabre did everything he could to avoid the GTR and get the win but Goto fought through it all, hit the GTR and finally won the big one! The G in IWGP stands for Goto! ****1/2

Orange Cassidy enters and stabs Yuta with his sunglasses as the babyfaces take turns beating up Yuta. Daniel Garcia enters to help even things up and tries to wear down the babyfaces with submissions to buy time. Mark Briscoe's music hits but he is nowhere to be seen. Mark is hurt backstage so Roderick Strong enters and starts breaking some backs. Yuta is there to stop him as the two fight on top of the cage ending with Mark nailing Yuta with a Jay Driller on the roof! Gabe Kidd runs out and drags Darby up the ramp with PAC, while in the ring Moxley staples Cassidy's hands in his pockets! That sick fuck! Some awesome and violent spots before we got into the insane shit including a pair of flaming tables! Love that yet again, Moxley is the one to quit and lose the big match for the Death Riders while the babyfaces stand tall. ****1/2
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Brodido (c) vs. FTR at AEW Full Gear 2025: An incredible tag team match! Easy to follow story and flow to the match with Brody being the powerhouse of his team while Bandido uses his quickness and agility to compete with the tag team expertise of FTR. Each time control of the match switches it is due to one team leaning on their speciality to do so, which is really great. FTR gets some nice heat by cutting off the ring and isolating Bandido for a while before Brody gets the hot tag and things pick up. Lots of back and forth tag team offense before Brody goes for a dive on Dax but Stokely pushes him out of the way and takes the bullet for him! Bandido is alone against FTR and does his best to fight back, even hitting a 21-Plex on Cash, only to fall right into a Shatter Machine! Cover but Brody makes the save! Cash grabs one of the belts and nails Bandido for another cover. Kickout! Brodido fights back and nails a Shatter Machine of their own for a 2 count! Cash takes out Brody with a huge dive on the outside and FTR sets up Bandido for a Doomsday Device. Bandido reverses it into a Moonsault Slam! Holy Shit! Brody tries to choke out Dax but Cash makes the save and FTR hits a Spiked Piledriver on the apron to Brody! He is done! Spiked Piledriver to Bandido BUT HE KICKS OUT! OH MY GOD! Bandido flips off FTR and takes one last Shatter Machine for the cover and the win. FTR are the new tag team champions! What a match! The slow build with everyone playing their role in the match to perfection before we got into the bigger back and forth offense. FTR kept trying to keep Brody down to isolate Bandido and eventually were able to get the win using that tactic but Bandido goes down fighting. Awesome match to end Brodido's reign with the belts! ****1/2
AEW World Championship Match: Adam Page (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher at AEW All Out 2025: An incredible back and forth match! Page comes in with a hurt neck and Fletcher knows it so he goes after it right away. Great storytelling early with Page being the hard hitting veteran that Fletcher has to chip away at by going to the neck and arm to try and soften up Page's best weapons in his arsenal. Lots of head based offense from Fletcher like a hanging DDT, Michinoku Driver and even a Boston Crab with Fletcher's knee right on Page's neck. Page is able to start mounting a comeback, even as he favors his neck. Lots of big bombs by Page as he starts to go after Fletcher's own neck including a Tombstone on the floor! Fletcher cuts off Page's momentum with a Brainbuster through the timekeeper's table for a nasty spot! Fletcher goes to the well once too often when he tries for another Brainbuster off the apron but Page reverses into a Dead Eye off the apron through a table! These two men are trying to kill each other! Page goes for the Buckshot Lariat but Fletcher collapses to avoid it. Awesome spot! Both men start pulling off all the stops by using offense from past rivals: Page using the V-Trigger and going for the One-Winged Angel while Fletcher hits a Hidden Blade and tries for the Stormbreaker, only for Page to counter and hit Big Pressure for a big near-fall. Awesome sequence! Dead Eye and a Brainbuster fail to get each man the win so Fletcher tries for the Turnbuckle Brainbuster but Page blocks and hits an Avalanche Dead Eye! Holy Fuck! Buckshot Lariat and Page retains! What a match! Fletcher yet again impresses as he comes in with a game plan to win and executed it to near perfection but the Hangman was just too tough to be put away and he fought back time and time again to retain. ****1/2
AEW World Championship Match: Adam Page (c) vs. MJF at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2025: An awesome back and forth story driven match! The title can change hands on a DQ or count-out so right from the bell, MJF is trying to frustrate and agitate Page into making a mistake. Hangman isn't having it and works over MJF early for a bit of revenge before rolling back into the ring and right into a piledriver by MJF to cut him off. MJF goes to work on the arm to set up for the Salt of the Earth while Page tries to fight from underneath. Awesome spot with Page giving himself an opening and going for the Buckshot Lariat but MJF counters into the Salt of the Earth. Great stuff! MJF gets frustrated at Page staying in the match and gets a table set up by ringside, only for Page to nail a Dead Eye off the apron through it! Page gets MJF in the ring for a cover but MJF gets a foot on the rope. MJF goes to the outside to escape and avoids a charging Hangman to send him into a chair and bust him open. Page still tries to fight back until MJF counters a moonsault and nails a Tombstone on the broken table! Ouch! MJF looks for the count-out but Page makes it back in at 9! MJF goes to throw Page into an exposed turnbuckle but Page reverses and MJF hits the turnbuckle and gets busted open! Page gets his foot on the rope but the referee doesn't see it and counts 3! Mark Briscoe runs out to try and stop this but security pulls him back, however the referee still sees the foot on the rope and restarts the match! MJF tries every trick he can to keep Page down now. Low blow and MJF cracks Page with the contract. Kickout! MJF tries to use the Diamond ring but the referee stops him! Page hits MJF with the contract behind the referee's back! Dead Eye by Page and he finally hits the Buckshot Lariat to get the win! This was just an awesome match! The slow build as MJF tried to toy with Page and get him to lose his temper only for MJF to have to cheat when he finds himself overwhelmed by a pissed off Hangman. MJF almost cheats his way to a win but in the end, Page beats MJF at his own game. ****1/2
Continental Classic 2025 Gold League Match: "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Kyle Fletcher at AEW Dynamite 12/10-Winter is Coming 2025: An incredible battle of speed vs. power! Match starts off with some nice back and forth wrestling with Bailey trying to use his speed to ground the bigger Fletcher early. We get a clear story of the match when Fletcher hits a pair of backbreakers on Bailey and goes to work on Bailey's back while Bailey looks for quick strikes and offense. Some really nice back and forth early with Bailey sticking and moving while Fletcher looks to just hammer Bailey with big bombs. Match spills to the floor and Bailey looks for a Moonsault Knee on the barricade but Fletcher stops him and slams him back first on the barricade! Bailey isn't dead yet though and keeps fighting back on Fletcher, even going for a Shooting Star Press but Fletcher gets his feet up. Last Ride by Fletcher but Bailey kicks out. Both men are exhausted as they exchange strikes but Bailey gets the better of it and lays out Fletcher with Time Adventure! 2 count! Bailey hits Ultimo Weapon but Fletcher still kicks out! Holy Shit! Fletcher rolls to the floor to recover and Bailey goes for Ultimo Weapon off the apron to the floor but Fletcher moves! Powerbomb on the apron and a Brainbuster in the ring for Fletcher! Cover and Bailey kicks out! What the fuck?! HOW?! Fletcher looks for the Turnbuckle Brainbuster as time is running out but Bailey slips out and the two exchange quick roll-ups and pin attempts. Bailey traps Fletcher's arms and legs in a prawn hold and gets the 3 with less than a minute left! What a goddamn match! A simple and easy to follow story of the bigger, stronger Fletcher competing against the speed and striking ability of Bailey. Amazing back and forth action all match with some insane near-falls before Bailey is able to out-wrestle Fletcher just long enough to get the pin. One of the best TV matches all year! ****1/2
Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland at AEW Dynamite 6/11-Summer Blockbuster: An incredible back and forth match from these two. We get a nice opening exchange with both clearly not rushing and just testing the water with how dangerous their opponent is. Ospreay gets his nose busted open early and Swerve nicely goes right after it with some stiff facelocks and strikes to ground Ospreay in the early goings. When Ospreay starts to fire back, Swerve switches tactics and goes after the neck and arm of Ospreay, which has been a nagging injury for Ospreay. Match becomes a bit of a back and forth with Ospreay looking to brute force his way to a comeback on Swerve, even as Swerve is able to keep cutting him off. Swerve goes for a dive to the outside but Ospreay avoids it and Swerve looks to tweak his knee on the landing. Ospreay takes the opening and hits an awesome diving Hidden Blade to the outside right to the back of Swerve's head! Ospreay starts laying in his strikes on Swerve but goes for a Hidden Blade, only for Swerve to move and Ospreay to run neck and shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Swerve goes back to the neck and arm with submissions as Ospreay tries to fight out. Ospreay is able to get Swerve into position for a Styles Clash but Swerve blocks it and nails a Deadeye! Love it! Swerve Stomp misses but the Hidden Blade by Ospreay doesn't for a big near-fall! Ospreay starts kicking at Swerve's hurt knee to try and cut him off but Swerve nails a House Call! Swerve Stomp connects! 2 count! Swerve snaps at Ospreay's arm and goes for another House Call but Ospreay nails Swerve with a Hidden Blade! Stormbreaker! 2 count! Holy Shit! Ospreay looks for the Tiger Drive but his arm gives out! Swerve nails Ospreay with a Cop Killa! House Call! But Ospreay rolls to the apron to avoid the pin! Swerve climbs to the top to nail a Swerve Stomp on the apron as the time limit expires and we have a draw! What a match! The slow pace to start as the match built and built to these two throwing everything they have at each other. Loved the limb work and selling by both men as it helped make their comebacks even more impactful. Perfect way to set up for a rematch down the road. ****1/2
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match: Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025: An incredible back and forth battle of the submission specialist vs. the powerhouse. We get a nice slow start with both men trying to gain the early edge. We can see that Sabre is the quicker and more skilled wrestler of the two while Takeshita is able to use his power to try and muscle Sabre to the mat. Early on Sabre starts to go after Takeshita's right arm to neutralize his powerful strikes and maybe take away some of his power advantage. Takeshita does a fantastic job of selling the arm while also gritting his teeth and utilizing the arm for his big bombardment of offense he throws at Sabre. Takeshita's strategy starts to pay off with a series of German Suplexes and nailing a big elbow that rocks Sabre. Takeshita goes for the Powerdrive Knee but Sabre catches it and rolls Takeshita into a submission and traps him! Fucking Brilliant by Sabre! Takeshita has to drag himself and Sabre to the ropes to break the hold. We get some nice callbacks to their past matches like Takeshita going for a top rope Raging Fire but Sabre slips out and hits a sunset bomb and Takeshita blocking Sabre's European Clutch with a Crossface Chickenwing before Sabre breaks the hold by again going after the right arm. Some big back and forth strikes, offense and near-falls from both men until Takeshita removes his elbow pad and uncorks a huge elbow to drop Sabre! Sabre tries for a quick submission to cut off Takeshita but Takeshita just bombs Sabre with a German Suplex and a Poison Rana. Powerdrive Knee before Takeshita drops the knee pad and lands one final Powerdrive Knee! Cover and Takeshita is the new IWGP World Champion! Excellent pro wrestling all match! Loved that Sabre had his game plan and worked it to perfection as he destroyed Takeshita's powerful right arm all match but Takeshita was able to keep powering through and land big bombs before finally hitting Sabre with a big enough blow to keep him down for the cover and the win. ****1/2
Winner Takes All Match for the AEW Unified Championship: AEW International Champion Kenny Omega vs. AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada at AEW All In 2025: An incredible match from these legendary rivals. Things start slow with both toying with the other early before Okada lands a kick to Omega's gut and a thumb to the eye. Omega fights back and uses his trademark fast paced offense to even things up. Okada is willing to do anything to win while Omega wants to show he can still be the best. Okada has a target on Omega's midsection and smartly keeps going back to it every time Omega starts to gain some ground and mount a comeback. Okada hits a DDT on the announce table and back in the ring to start softening up Omega's neck for the Rainmaker. Omega is able to get in some shots like a rana, big dive to the outside and even a Snap Dragon but Okada keeps cutting Omega off with his targeted attacks. Elbow Drops off the top by Okada, who starts looking for the Rainmaker but Omega blocks it. Omega is able to finally mount a real comeback as he lays in V-Triggers before hitting an Avalanche Dragon Suplex! My God! Omega looks for the One-Winged Angel but Okada blocks it with a Tombstone! Omega ducks a Rainmaker and tries for One-Winged Angel again but can't hit it, however he does hit Croyt’s Wrath! Omega can't bridge on the pin due to his midsection and Okada kicks out. Don Callis tries to get involved and the distraction allows Okada to go for the Rainmaker again but Omega dodges it. V-Trigger! One-Winged Angel by Omega! Cover! Callis pulls the referee from the ring! Omega gets another referee in and goes for another One-Winged Angel but Okada slips out and nails the Rainmaker! Cover! Only 2! Both men are drained as they struggle to their feet to exchange blows. Okada goes for the Rainmaker but Omega counters with a small package for a huge near-fall. That's Omega's last gasp of fight through as a Cobra Flowson and one last Rainmaker ends it with Okada getting the win. Another classic from these two. Not as great as their other matches but I loved the more targeted offense Okada used here to punish Omega, while Omega fought through all the pain and punishment to try and prove he could still beat Okada. Some incredible near-falls from both men before Okada was able to tie up their series. ****1/2
Adam Page vs. MJF at AEW Revolution 2025: A heated and stiff match from these two. Right from the bell, these two come out swinging with Page having the clear physical edge. MJF changes tactics and starts working smarter to take over like poking Page in the eyes and looking to ground Page to slow him down. Page fires back on MJF and we get some nice back and forth action with both hitting big shots. Page blocks a Heatseeker to hit Deadeye before a Buckshot Lariat! Cover but MJF gets his foot on the ropes! MJF tries to go for Salt of the Earth but Page is too strong and sets up another Buckshot, only for MJF to roll to the floor. Page charges at MJF, who moves, and Page runs shoulder first into the ring steps. Page goes for the Buckshot again but this time MJF catches him with the Salt of the Earth on the hurt arm! Page struggles for the ropes as MJF keeps switching up the submission to keep Page trapped but Page still makes it to the ropes. Match spills to the floor and Page looks for a Tombstone, but his arm is too hurt to hit it. MJF reverses the Tombstone into one of his own on an open steel chair! Good Lord! MJF tries for the count-out win but Page makes it back in the ring at 9! MJF screams at Page "Why not me?" with tears in his eyes. Great character moment right there. MJF goes for the Heatseeker again but Page catches him and hits Deadeye followed by Angel's Wings! Buckshot Lariat by Page and he gets the win! What a match! The action was all perfect and told a great story of MJF trying to frustrate Page while picking apart the stronger opponent. Great near-falls and I loved MJF breaking down as he sees Page not giving up and the crowd loving him for it. Amazing touch! ****1/2
ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Hechicero at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025: An absolutely incredible back and forth match from these two! We get a nice slow start with both men feeling each other out. We see Bandido try to wrestle with Hechicero but Hechicero is clearly more skilled on the mat and is able to work over Bandido. Some great limb work by Hechicero, who also goes after Bandido's mask, as Bandido works from underneath and uses his impressive power and speed to counter Hechicero from time to time. Bandido is finally able to mount a real comeback and starts landing some big offense on Hechicero like a Frog Splash for some nice near-falls. Hechicero is able to block a Sunset Bomb off the apron into an Airplane Spin to the floor! Good God! The two men start slugging it out, ending with an X-Knee by Bandido. 21-Plex attempted but Hechicero is able to block and tries to tie up Bandido into some submissions but the champion is able to keep fighting out. Bandido is able to get Hechicero into the corner to nail a Moonsault Slam and set up Hechicero for the 21-Plex again. Great touch with Hechicero holding the ropes to block so Bandido traps the arms to finally nail the 21-Plex and get the win! What a match! Both men had their own styles and strategies coming into the match and utilized them well the whole time. Lots of back and forth action and excellently paced match. Don't think it needed to go over 30 minutes but it was still an incredible match. ****1/2
Coffin Match: Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin at AEW All Out 2025: An insane and bloody fight from these two! Darby jumps Moxley in the crowd as he makes his entrance and we are off! Darby fights like a wild man as he throws himself at Moxley just trying to hit him more. Darby goes after Moxley's ear with a fork, like Moxley did to Darby in their last match, to bust him open. Moxley counters a dive by Darby into a cutter to take over as he just starts tossing Darby around and dropping him on the coffins. Darby isn't done though as he uses the fork again to bloody Moxley more and even uses a pipe to block the lid from closing on him before choking Moxley with it. Super creative offense from Darby to counter the size and power advantage of Moxley. Danielson hands Darby a plastic bag and Darby chokes the life out of Moxley before kicking his fucking head in with Danielson Stomps! Darby has this match won until PAC returns and attacks! Powerbomb from the ring to the outside onto a coffin! Jesus! PAC returns Darby to the ring, puts him in a body bag and in the coffin, which Moxley kicks close to get the win. What a match! The violence was insane as both men were willing to go to extreme lengths to punish the other. Loved the callbacks like the fork to the ear and Darby using a plastic bag to choke the life out of Moxley until yet again, the Death Riders are the difference maker. Best Coffin Match Ever! ****1/2
AEW Women's World Championship Match: Toni Storm (c) vs. Mercedes Mone at AEW All In 2025: An excellent back and forth battle between these two women. We get a nice slow start to the match as both women feel each other out. As the match gets going we see a clear story unfold with Mone having the better wrestling abilities while Toni is more equipped to bomb Mone with big offense. Some nice back and forth early with Toni almost toying with Mone to frustrate her. Mone goes to work on the back and arm of Toni to try and soften her up while also trying to neutralize some of Toni's power offense. Mone gets cute with her offense and hits a Three Amigos before trying for a Frog Splash, which Toni gets her knees up for. Toni hammers Mone with a trio of German Suplexes before a hip attack in the corner and a Storm Zero but only gets 2. Toni tries for a Chickenwing but Mone bites her arm to escape and lock in the Statement Maker before transiting into a Mone Maker for a near-fall. Both women start firing off everything they can think of including Toni countering a Statement Maker into one of her own. Mone fights out but Toni responds with THREE STORM ZEROS! Mone kickouts! Holy shit! Toni tries for a hip attack but Mone counters with a roll-up with the ropes! Only 2! Mone locks in the Statement Maker again and nicely transitions into an STF variation to try and trap Toni but she still fights out of it. Backstabber by Mone but Toni fires right back with a hip attack. Both women fight to the top rope and Toni rocks Mone with a headbutt. Bret's rope Storm Zero and Toni retains! What a match! Loved both women having their style of match to work and played off the other very well. Some amazing near-falls before Toni gets the decisive win. ****1/2
Losers Leaves Bullet Club Dog Pound Steel Cage Match: EVIL, Ren Narita, SANADA, SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. David Finlay, Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney, Gabe Kidd and Taiji Ishimori at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2025 Night 1: An incredible wild brawl of a match. Things start off hot with everyone getting in the cage and going right at it in the ring and around ringside. Kendo Sticks come into play right away as everyone gets some shots in. House of Torture take over the ring and pick Moloney as the proverbial sacrificial lamb to get worked over. Moloney is busted open after being stabbed with forks as House of Torture takes turns attacking Moloney and keeping the War Dogs from getting in the ring to help. War Dogs are eventually able to rally and start to get revenge on House of Torture. Kanemaru is superplexed to the outside on top of everyone by Finlay. Connors and Ishimori take out Kanemaru and SHO with a double Gore and Moonsault off the cage respectively. Dick Togo tries to get involved but is stopped by Gedo who splashes Dick onto a table. Finlay and EVIL have a really good back and forth until Yujiro Takahashi gets in the cage and helps EVIL take out Finlay. Moloney hits SANADA with a guitar as payback for him turning on War Dogs but SANADA recovers enough to put Moloney through a table. A bloody Gabe brings in a table wrapped in barbed wire into the ring to attack an equally bloody Ren with. The two battle on the top rope while covered in each other's blood for a gruesome visual. Bret's rope Piledriver by Gabe onto the table! Gabe gets the pin for the War Dogs and House of Torture is forced to leave Bullet Club! Just a wild match! Loved how fast paced it was as everyone got right into the action. Lots of great usage of the cage and weapons plus a ton of blood. Really enjoyed everyone in each stable getting a chance to shine and really put over the feud between the two groups. ****1/2
Triple Threat Match for the Women's World Championship: IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Naomi at WWE Evolution 2025: A fantastic and exciting back and forth battle. Match starts as IYO defending against Rhea and we get a nice opening few minutes that establishes the set up for the match: IYO is fast and more agile while Rhea has the power advantage. We get some excellent back and forth wrestling early that highlights this as well as the idea that IYO might have Rhea's number and Rhea is frustrated by this early on. The match starts to build as both women go for bigger and bigger moves and we start getting some really nice near-falls. Both women start looking for their killing blow when IYO misses with a dropkick and takes out the referee. Rhea uses the opening to hit IYO with the Riptide for the phantom 3 count. Even more frustrated now, Rhea brawls with IYO into the crowd leading to IYO hitting a huge crossbody from the stands. IYO gets Rhea back in the ring to finally hit the Over the Moonsault as the referee recovers but only 2! IYO looks for another but Rhea goes to the top to cut her off only to get caught in a Spanish Fly off the top! Naomi rushes out as both women are recovering. She is cashing in her Money in the Bank contract! This is now a Triple Threat match! Naomi tosses Rhea out and hits a split legged Moonsault on IYO! Cover and 3! Naomi steals the win and the championship! The IYO vs. Rhea match was going along great with some awesome action and the crowd was super into everything. Naomi's cash-in is a little disappointing because we don't see a finish to the match but it still really worked here and made for a hell of a moment. ****1/2
G1 Climax 2025 Semi-Final Match: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 18: An incredible battle of technical wrestling vs. hard hitting offense. We get a good bit of mat wrestling to start before Sabre turns up the intensity by going after Takeshita's right arm with his vicious and targeted limb work. Takeshita is able to fight back nicely though with a draping DDT to the floor and some big offensive bombs all aimed for Sabre's neck. Sabre quickly changes up his tactics and starts going after the bad knee of Takeshita; now Takeshita has a bad arm and leg for Sabre to pick apart. Love the story to the match with Takeshita trying to grit his teeth and bomb Sabre into the ground while Sabre just has to wait for an opening to slap on a submission to cut off Takeshita's momentum and take control. Two great spots that highlight this is Takeshita hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb only for Sabre to kick out and immediately lock in a Triangle Choke and later Sabre hitting a Zack Driver for a cover and when Takeshita kicks out, Sabre goes right into a kneebar for a really great near submission win. Through it all, Takeshita is able to keep fighting back and using his damaged right arm to rattle Sabre with his powerful elbows. Fantastic back and forth finishing stretch as both men start firing their best shots at each other. Takeshita is able to fight Sabre into the corner and muscle him up to nail an insane top rope Brainbuster! Sabre looks out of it! Powerdrive Knee by Takeshita and Raging Fire seals it and Takeshita advances to the G1 Finals! What a match! Both men had their strategies for winning and utilized them perfectly. Loved seeing Sabre being the more aggressive and maybe even cocky heel champion that looked to pick apart Takeshita, only for Takeshita to survive it this time and hammer Sabre into defeat. ****1/2
No Disqualification Match for the AEW TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe at AEW Full Gear 2025: A bloody and violent fight between these two! Bell sounds and these two get right into it and bring out the weapons early. Chairs, steel steps and ladders are all used to punish the other and both men are busted open early. Really enjoy Mark willing to risk his body with more high risk offense while Fletcher looks to be more methodical with his offense. We get some wild table bumps before Fletcher brings out thumbtacks, only for Mark to suplex Fletcher into the tacks. Froggy Bow from the top of a ladder through a table by Mark to Fletcher for a big near-fall. Insane spot! Mark breaks out a barbed wire table but Fletcher attacks with the Don Callis screwdriver! Brainbuster in the tack but Mark kicks out! Insane spot with Fletcher looking for a Turnbuckle Brianbuster onto the screwdriver but Mark is able to fight it off. The two go back and forth for a bit looking for the killing blow before Mark hits a Razor's Edge through the barbed wire table! Jay Driller into the tacks and Mark finally wins AEW gold! What a war from these two. Tons of wild spots and big bombs with these two trying to kill each other. Feels good to see Mark Briscoe finally get the big singles win. ****1/2
Tables 'N' Tacks Match: MJF vs. Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out 2025: A wild and violent plunder match! Bell sounds and MJF immediately tries to run away and avoid Mark, who takes his time covering the mat with tacks! What a visual that is! Mark goes after MJF on the outside trying to get him in the ring, but MJF cuts him off with a low blow. Great build to the first tack spot with MJF slamming Mark into the tacks and then pressing his face into them! Jesus! Mark is bleeding already! MJF takes his time punishing Mark with more and more slams into the tacks before Mark is able to fire up and fight back. Mark starts slamming MJF into the tacks and putting him through tables at ringside to just beat the hell out of him! Mark breaks out a chair covered in tacks but MJF stops him and uses it himself before a Tombstone! Kickout by Mark! MJF gets a table and covers it in more tacks and tries to end Mark but Mark fights him off and nails a standing Froggy Bow through the table! A second Froggy Bow and a Jay Driller gives Mark the win! I loved this! The violence played a great part with Mark wanting revenge and MJF trying to run away in fear every time Mark was in control. Some brutal spots from both men that really sold the hatred the two have. ****1/2
Best of the Super Junior 32 Final Match: Kosei Fujita vs. YOH at NJPW Best of the Super Junior 32 Night 13: A fantastic back and forth match! We get a nice slow start with both men going for some mat wrestling early on. We get some nice storytelling with YOH utilizing moves from former CHAOS members as a way to bring a wild card element to his offense to counter Fujita's superior wrestling skills. YOH is able to find a way to work over Fujita's neck and arms which leads to a great near-fall where Fujita tries for the Kami Special, only to not be able to lock it in fully due to the damage done. With his best submission no longer an option, Fujita starts firing off more strikes and big bombs at YOH, who responds back just as fiercely. Tons of great back and forth action with both men pulling out offense from their mentors like Fujita using the Zack Driver and YOH using Goto's Shoto for big near-falls. Fujita is able to finally string together enough big bombs on YOH to finally hit the Thrill Ride and get the win in an awesome match. Just a great match from these two with YOH being enough of a wild card to look like he could beat the younger Fujita. Crowd was super into both men and all the action and near-falls. Really enjoyed Fujita realizing early that his arms were too damaged for his submission to be truly effective and instead had to utilize his strikes and power to get the win. ****1/2
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Brodido (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at AEW WrestleDream 2025: A fantastic and exciting back and forth tag team match! We get the standard start with both teams feeling each other out. Some nice storytelling early on with Brodido working as a team to keep control while Okada and Takeshita work as two individuals. Brodido gets too confident early and Okada cuts them off and starts to go after Bandido's shoulder to get some heat. Takeshita joins in but Okada and him still can't function as a team well and Bandido makes the tag to Brody, who runs wild. From here, the match becomes a wild back and forth of big offense, double team moves and near-falls for everyone. Some big spots like Takeshita going for a Powerdrive Knee but Okada tagging himself in, a Bastard Driver on Brody by Takeshita before Brody comes back and German Suplex all 3 men at once! Okada finally goes for the Rainmaker on Bandido but misses and hits Takeshita! Okada smiles about it! Bandido catches Okada with an X-Knee but can't hit the 21-Plex due to his hurt shoulder. Brody fires up Bandido and takes out Takeshita with a dive. Bandido goes for the 21-Plex on Okada again and hits it with one goddamn arm! Holy Shit! Cover and 3! Brodido retains! I loved this match! The unlikely team of Brodido is able to work together to beat the two superior but individual wrestlers. A big win for Brodido while adding more build-up to Okada vs. Takeshita. ****1/2
IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship Match: Gabe Kidd (c) vs. Yota Tsuji at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025: Another intense and physical fight between these two. We get a slower start to the match this time with both men feeling each other out. Gabe picks up the pace first with a big dropkick and starts brawling with Tsuji. A nice touch though is Gabe skipping a top rope senton and instead nailing a powerbomb when Tsuji is trapped on the top rope. Gabe knows he is in a big match and can't risk making mistakes. However, Gabe does make a mistake as Tsuji avoids a dropkick in the corner and Gabe lands right on his neck! Tsuji takes over with his own strategy as he goes to work on the midsection and back of Gabe with gutbusters, backbreakers and even a Boston Crab from their Young Lion days. We get some nice selling by Gabe as he has to fight from underneath against Tsuji, who is looking more and more dominant as the match goes on. Gabe fires back as we get the usual awesome back and forth bombfest from these two and some new stuff like Tsuji hitting a Destroyer! Tsuji nails the Guerrero Special and looks for the Gene Blaster but Gabe catches him with a piledriver! What a spot! We get a nice double countout tease before the two men come up trading strikes ending with Tsuji avoiding a Lariat and nailing Gene Blaster! Cover and Gabe kicks out at 1! Another Gene Blaster and Tsuji locks in the Boston Crab! Gabe tries to fight to the ropes but his ribs and back have taken too much punishment and he has to tap! What a match! These two started off slow and built to an incredible back and forth battle with Tsuji able to use his size and power to weaken Gabe before ending things as they began with these two: The Young Lion Boston Crab. ****12
Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher at AEW Grand Slam Australia 2025: A super exciting and action-filled tag match. Ospreay and Fletcher start off and pick up right where they left off last time they met. Omega and Ospreay are able to use their quick offense to control early for the most part and work well as a team. The tide of the match turns when Fletcher shoves Ospreay into Omega's gut and goes to work on Omega's still healing midsection. Heels isolate and work over Omega for some good heat before Omega makes the big tag to Ospreay. Match picks up as everyone starts moving at an insane pace and hitting bigger and bigger offense. Tons of big spots, counters and near-falls that you would expect from these 4 men. Heels are able to cut off the babyface's momentum with stereo Tombstones for a nice near-fall. Heels, once again, isolate Omega and start hammering him with big bombs like a Powerdrive Knee and a double team Brainbuster. Cover but Ospreay makes the save! Ospreay literally covers Omega with his own body to protect him from the heels! What a babyface! Ospreay counters a Brainbuster by Fletcher into a Stunner and starts fighting back! Omega and Takeshita go at it as Ospreay takes out Fletcher. Omega gets Takeshita up as Ospreay comes off the top for a One-Winged Angel/Hidden Blade combo! Holy fuck! Omega gets the pin on Takeshita! Incredible bell to bell action and a nice story thread of Omega being the weak link of the team and Ospreay doing all he can to protect him at times. What a match! ****1/2
#1 Contendership Match for the AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet at AEW Revolution 2025: Another great match from these two rivals. Quick counters and exchanges early as both look for the win right off the bat. Swerve is able to take over by targeting Ricochet's back and goes to work on him. Match spills to the outside and Swerve just stomps on Ricochet to the point where Nana tries to stop him, only to get inadvertently shoved down by Swerve! Nana storms off to the back as Ricochet catches Swerve with a kick and takes over the match. Some nice heat by Ricochet, who keeps cutting off Swerve every time he starts to fight back. Ricochet looks to put Swerve through the announcer's table but Swerve counters and hits a Cop Killa onto the table! Swerve Stomp back in the ring but only 2! Ricochet cuts off Swerve with a low blow and a brainbuster. 630 by Ricochet but Swerve kicks out! Nana is back out and tries to take his robe back, only for Ricochet to take out Nana with a dive and put the robe on himself. Swerve goes for a dive but Ricochet catches him with a Death Valley Driver on the floor! Vertigo back in the ring and Swerve kicks out again! Ricochet sets up for a Spirit Gun and Nana grabs the robe to stop him! Both men go for roll-ups until Swerve nails the House Call! Second House Call only gets 2! Big Pressure by Swerve finally gets the win! Wow! Yet again, these two have amazing chemistry and pulled off some amazing counters, exchanges and near-falls. The drama with Swerve and Nana was a nice tease for a break-up but Swerve gets the win, the title shot and the robe back for his friend. ****1/2
NEVER Openweight Championship Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Oleg Boltin at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka 2025: A hard hitting Hoss fight! Oleg comes out the gate and is able to out-power Takeshita to take him off his feet early. Takeshita rolls to the outside to regroup but Oleg stays on him, only to be run, shoulder first, into the ring post. Takeshita makes a target of the shoulder and goes to work on it, trying to take away Oleg's power and strength. Some nice selling by Oleg, who still fights back as the crowd really gets behind him. Oleg starts slugging it out with Takeshita including an awesome spot where the two lock arms and start throwing shots and Oleg rocks Takeshita! Oleg starts bombing Takeshita before Takeshita cuts him off with a brutal Lariat. 1 count on Oleg! Powerdrive Knee by Takeshita! Another kickout! Takeshita locks in a Guillotine and chokes the life out of Oleg. Raging Fire finally puts down Oleg and gives Takeshita the win. What a match! Oleg starts off hot before hurting his shoulder which gave Takeshita something to work on and Oleg something to overcome. Amazing babyface comeback that had the crowd truly behind Oleg. Loved that in a straight up back and forth bomb-fest, Oleg could keep fighting back so Takeshita had to choke the fight out of the young man. Star-making match for Oleg. ****1/2
AEW International Championship and NEVER Openweight Championship Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii at AEW/CMLL/AEW Wresle Dynasty 2025: A hard hitting Hoss fight! Takeshita comes confidate in his ability and doesn't take Ishii seriously in the early moments until Ishii starts firing off some chops. Ishii even lands a few chops to the throat before Takeshita hits a German Suplex and takes back control. Match plays out with Takeshita being the dominant force but Ishii finding ways to fight back in his own way: headbutts, stiff shots and just being a stubborn man who refuses to go down to the younger man. Lots of big bombs by both men with Ishii even breaking out a top rope Hurricanrana to try something different and maybe pull off the upset. In the end, Takeshita is able to nail his devastating elbow before Raging Fire gives him the win. Really loved Ishii trying some different tactics to try and counter the clearly more powerful and dangerous opponent but it was all for nothing as Takeshita was just too much to overcome. Simple but great match! ****1/2
John Cena vs. AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel 2025: An epic bomb-fest and tribute match from these two former rivals. Things start off nice and slow with AJ having the speed advantage and Cena having the power advantage. Some nice stick and move offense from AJ as he tries to chip away at Cena and put him away quickly. Cena is able to cut off AJ and runs through his trademark offense and even hits an AA very early in the match for a near-fall. AJ starts to comeback and attempts a Styles Clash but Cena blocks with a Miz Skull Crushing Finale. We get a really great back and forth counter sequence as both men try for a variety of submissions including a STF, Crossface, a Rusev Accolade, a Samoa Joe choke, a Jericho Walls of Jericho, a Calf Crusher and back to a STF. That was excellent. AJ fights out of the STF into a Styles Clash for a near-fall. AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but Cena catches him with Bray Wyatt's Sister Abigail! More back and forth bombs from both men as well as tributes to their past rivals. Cena hits an Orton DDT and a RKO for a near-fall but misses the Punt and AJ hits Cena with an AA. AJ hits a Sweet Chin Music and a Phenomenal Forearm but still can't put Cena away. Cena fights back and muscles AJ up for an AA for a near-fall before looking for the Avalanche AA. AJ is able to fight him off and goes for a Crossbody but Cena catches him. Tombstone Piledriver by Cena! One last AA and Cena gets the win! A whole lot of fun here with both guys spamming finishers and moves from past rivals. Lots of big near-falls that the crowd was eating up the whole time. Just a fun match to sit back and enjoy. ****1/4
AEW World Championship Match: Adam Page (c) vs. Jon Moxley at AEW Dynamite 7/30: A great rematch between these two! Bell rings and Page comes right out and takes the fight to Moxley. Love seeing the confidence and aggression that Hangman shows now that he is champion and puts Moxley on defense right away. Both men are firing off big shots and keeping the match somewhat even with Page having the slight edge. That changes with Moxley hitting a nasty piledriver on the steel steps to cut off Page and take over. Now Moxley is able to shine as he targets Page's head and neck and forces Page to fight from underneath. Moxley looks to cut off Page's momentum again with a piledriver on the announce table but Page lifts Moxley and drops him with a Dead Eye on the table! Page tries to follow up with some Danielson stomps but Moxley counters into a Bulldog Choke. Page tries to fight to the ropes but Moxley keeps rolling to block him. At last, Page is able to escape and locks in a LeBell Lock! Moxley is just able to get his foot on the rope to break the hold and rolls to the apron to recover. Page looks for a Dead Eye on the apron but Moxley counters this time with a piledriver on the apron! Gotch Style Piledriver in the ring! Cover! Page kicks out! Page looks out on his feet until Moxley toys with him and Hangman comes back with some fired up shots! We get a nice sequence of both men countering the other's finisher ending with Page hitting another Dead Eye but clipping the referee as he does. Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta try to come through the crowd to interfere but security stops them. Marina Shafir sneaks in and gives Moxley the belt and he nails Page! Cover! Only 2! Referee gets rid of the Death Riders as Darby Allin hits an insane dive off the balcony onto them! Moxley is distracted and leaves himself open for a Buckshot Lariat! Moxley tries to block a Dead Eye with a choke but Page hits it! One last Buckshot Lariat and Page retains! What a match! I love that this was more of a straight wrestling match compared to their All In match. Moxley kept going to the head and neck of Page to wear him down but this is a different Hangman, who was able to weather the storm and yet again beat Moxley on his own. ****1/4
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match: Hirooki Goto (c) vs. Zack Sabre Jr. at NJPW Tanahashi Jam: A great back and forth battle between a hammer and a chisel. Match starts and right away Goto looks more confident and sure of himself going up against Sabre and takes the fight to him with his powerful and hard hitting style of offense. Sabre responds back with his own style of wrestling: pick a limb and take apart his opponent. The limb that Sabre chooses is Goto's right arm, which he goes after with amazing precision. Lots of submissions that Sabre is able to lock in deep and try to trap Goto, who does an amazing job fighting back time and time again even with one good arm. We get some fantastic back and forth sequences including Goto hitting a reverse GTR only for Sabre to immediately fire back with a Zack Driver. Sabre is able to lock Goto deep into a double arm submission, only for Goto to just barely get his foot on the rope to the roar of the crowd but the damage is done: Goto's arm is all but gone. Referee tries to talk Goto into stopping the match but Goto isn't having it and keeps trying to fight back to defend his championship. Goto finally hits the GTR but the damage to the arm is too much to get a pin right away. Goto tries to out-wrestle Sabre with a couple of quick roll-up attempts but that plays right into Sabre's hand. A pair of Zack Drivers by Sabre and still Goto won't stay down. Sabre goes back to the arm with more armbars as he ties up Goto and stops him from reaching the ropes. The referee has to finally step in and stop the match to save Goto from himself and Sabre is the new champion! What a fantastic match! Both men had their strategies and used them to perfection all match while telling a great story of Goto refusing to give up on his long time dream of being champion. The match slowed down a bit down the stretch to sell the idea that Goto might not be able to continue with the hurt arm but everything else was great. ****1/4
Royal Rumble Match at WWE Royal Rumble 2025: A really exciting and unpredictable Rumble match. Things start off with Rey and Penta for a cool Lucha back and forth before more people enter. Bron Breakker enters and starts cleaning house. Fun spot with IShowSpeed taking the place of a hurt Tozawa, only to get murdered by a Spear from Bron. That was amazing! Jacob Fatu enters and starts wrecking everyone as well. Joe Hendry enters for a nice pop before Roman Reigns enters and takes over. Bron cuts off Roman with a Spear but Roman is able to reverse Bron and eliminate him. More big names like Drew, Jey and AJ Styles enter. Braun enters and eliminates Jacob to get revenge. John Cena enters and dumps out Braun and Finn. Roman and Cena stare down as CM Punk enters followed by Seth Rollins! Rollins goes right after Punk! Logan Paul enters last and we start getting the big eliminations. Drew is eliminated by Priest. Logan Paul has a neat spot where he leaps to the announcer's table to stay in and trips AJ to eliminate him. Rollins and Roman go at it yet again and Punk dumps out both of them! Logan dumps out Punk right behind them! Rollins Curb Stomps Roman on the floor and gets into it with Punk! It's down to Cena, Jey and Logan. Cena is able to eliminate Logan. Cena and Jey battle it out and the fight ends up on the apron. Cena lifts Jey for an AA but Jey slips off and knocks Cena off the apron. Jey Uso wins the Royal Rumble! What a wild Rumble. Cool to see guys like Penta, Bron and Jacob get to shine early before the main event guys enter. Lots of story elements late in the match to build to future matches and a surprise winner. A very good Rumble! ****1/4
I Quit Match: Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin at AEW WrestleDream 2025: A brutal and insane match! We start off hot with Darby taking the fight right to Moxley. Marina Shafir gets involved right away by grabbing Darby's leg and gives Moxley an opening to take over. Moxley goes to work and bloodies Darby's mouth by making him bite the rope and kicking it before hammering him with a chain wrapped fist! Moxley isn't done there as he traps Darby's hand on the steps and shoves a skewer under his fingernail! JESUS! Darby is still not quitting though as he fights back and even starts choking Moxley with his AEW flag over the ropes like Page did to beat Moxley. A thumb to the eye breaks up the choke and lets Moxley catch his breath but Darby goes to the top for a Coffin Drop, only for Marina to pull Moxley out of the way as Darby crashes onto the apron! Moxley starts whipping Darby with his own belt but Darby still keeps trying to scratch and claw and find some way to keep attacking Moxley. Darby gets some lighter fluid and starts spraying Moxley with it, which brings the Death Riders to ringside. Darby tries to fight them off but a Cutter from Moxley stops him. Moxley grabs a taser and shocks Darby before a Curb Stomp and a Paradigm Shift into a chair. But Darby is still trying to get back to his feet. Bulldog Choke by Moxley but Darby just flips him off instead of quitting. Claudio ups the violence and military presses Darby out of the ring and onto the announce table! Holy Shit! Another Paradigm Shift off the apron through a pair of tables and Darby still will not quit! The Death Rider set up a tank of water and Moxley tries to fucking drown Darby in it! Moxley is begging Darby to quit but he won't! Lights go out! IT'S STING!!! Sting clears the ring of the Death Riders with his bat before handing it to Darby! Baseball bat shot by Darby to Moxley! Scorpion Death Drop and a Coffin Drop before Darby locks Moxley in the Scorpion Death Lock! Moxley quits! Darby has survived and won! This was a great storytelling match of Darby fighting through everything that Moxley threw at him. From big spots and submissions to straight up torture and attempted murder, Darby took it all and kept fighting back. In the end, Sting was able to even the odds but Darby was the one to deliver the final blow and make Moxley quit. ****1/4
Triple Threat Match for the Women's World Championship: IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair at WWE Wrestlemania 41 Night 2: An awesome back and forth 3 way match from these 3 women. Match starts with Bianca and Rhea wanting to go right at it and ignoring IYO, which only serves to piss her off as we get right into the action. Lots of fast paced action, counters, exchanges and big spots like all 3 hitting dives and a Tower of Doom. IYO counters a top rope Riptide and goes for the Over the Moonsault on Rhea but Rhea boots her in the face to block it and IYO falls into a Bianca KOD! 1.. 2.. Rhea breaks it up! Rhea and Bianca battle on the top and Bianca is knocked to the floor. IYO tries for a Poison Rana but Rhea blocks it and slams IYO face first into the ring post! Bianca gets behind Rhea and goes for the KOD! Rhea slips out and tries for the Riptide but Bianca escapes and whips Rhea with her hair! KOD by Bianca! Cover! IYO with an Over the Moonsault on both women! IYO covers Bianca and retains! Wow! What a match! All 3 women gave it their all and kept the match moving with lots of great action all match. Incredible finishing stretch with each looking like they could win, only for Bianca and Rhea to ignore IYO again and her to come in to get the win. ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match: Shingo Takagi vs. Zack Sabre Jr. at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 12: A really excellent back and forth match. Shingo comes in with a hurt arm and tries to work a more technical wrestling match in the early goings. Naturally, Sabre is quick to out-wrestle Shingo and start working on his knees to take away the bigger man's base. I enjoyed Shingo still trying to do some mat wrestling and only using his powerful strikes and bombs to cut off Sabre's momentum. However, Shingo starts utilizing his hurt arm and leaves himself open for Sabre to start going after it with submissions. Great back and forth as Shingo tries to push himself through the pain to put away Sabre, while Sabre just keeps waiting for his spot to tie Shingo up and submit him. Sabre dishes out his own bombs with a Zack Driver, only for Shingo to fire back with his own and a Burning Dragon but the damage to his arm and knees is too much and Shingo can't get the cover right away. Finish comes when Shingo is finally able to hammer Sabre enough to lift him up and hit The Last of the Dragon! Shingo covers but Sabre is able to roll through into his own pin to just barely get the 3 count! Some great action with Shingo trying to change up his strategy to protect his body, only for Sabre to force him to fight back with big bombs and strikes. Sabre masterfully picked apart Shingo bit by bit and took some punishment of his own but was able to score the quick counter to get the pin with Shingo kicking out as so as the referee counted the 3. So close! ****1/4
Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Women's Tournament Final Match: Mercedes Mone vs. Jamie Hayter at AEW Double or Nothing 2025: A really great back and forth match between the more experienced Mone and the hard hitting Hayter. Some nice quick wrestling in the early goings with Mone almost toying with Hayter, only for Hayter to fire back with some big powerful shots. Mone is able to use her in-ring experience to get Hayter stuck in the ropes and hit a Meteora to the outside to take over. Mone goes to work on Hayter's previously injured back and we get a nice story to the match from there: Mone trying to chip away at Hayter's power advantage while Hayter fights back from underneath. Some really great back and forth offense and I really like that as the match goes on, Mone gets more and more desperate to put Hayter away. Roll-ups and quick pins, submissions and even some top rope offense all get Mone near-falls but Hayter keeps fighting back and looking for the Hayterade, which Mone keeps countering and blocking. Hayter is able to reverse a Tombstone by Mone into one of her own for a near-fall and once again tries for the Hayterade. Mone ducks it and is able to tie up Hayter before all but dropping Hayter on her head with a roll-up for the win! Really great match that built and built as these two did everything they could to win. Really liked Mone having the Hayterade scouted and was able to block it every time Hayter went for it until Hayter went to the well once too often and Mone was able to steal a win. ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 8: An excellent wrestler vs. powerhouse match! We get some great mat wrestling to start where we can see that Sabre is quicker and more skilled of the two but Takeshita has the strength advantage. Sabre goes to work on the arm of Takeshita to try and negate his strikes and power, which Takeshita sells nicley. Tide of the match turns when Takeshita is able to drop Sabre with a German Suplex followed by a Brainbuster on the floor! Now the match becomes a battle of who can outlast the other: can Sabre break down Takeshita enough to submit him or is Takeshita going to bomb Sabre into the dirt. We get some incredible back and forth of strikes, big offense and even some super close roll-ups from both men. Takeshita looks for Raging Fire but Sabre slips behind and gets Takeshita in a rear naked choke. Takeshita fights like crazy to escape, even going to the top and dropping Sabre and himself to the mat but Sabre will not let go. Sabre is able to use his legs to trap Takeshita's arms and it is over: Takeshita is forced to tap. What a match. Sabre had a plan to chip away at Takeshita but underestimated just how powerful Takeshita was even with a damaged arm. Some excellent back and forth action until Sabre was able to lock in a choke and refused to let go until he got Takeshita to tap. ****1/4
Career vs. Career Match for the World of Stardom Championship: Saya Kamitani (c) vs. Tam Nakano at Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom 2025: An emotional and dramatic match from these two rivals! We get a real nice feeling out process early on with neither seeming to want to take a risk early. Tam proves this feeling right by going to the top early and Saya knocks her off the top to the apron in a sickening spot. Saya goes right to work on Tam, even using a chain to choke her and dropping her face first onto a chair. Tam sells for a good bit before firing up to make a big comeback. Saya cuts off Tam with an awesome rana off the apron to the floor to put herself back in control. Both women start pulling out the big bombs looking for the win. A great spot with Sayu setting up for the Phoenix Splash but she hesitates and is unwilling to hit it, which allows Tam to cut her off. Every strike, slap, headbutt and big piece of offense feels personal from these two and you can feel the emotion as neither wants to lose but seem troubled about ending the other's career. Tam hits Sayu with everything she has, including Saya's Star Crusher and even a Twilight Dream but somehow Sayu still kicks out. Sayu nails a Star Crusher of her own and a brutal knee to Tam's face but Tam still kicks out as well. A tearful Sayu hits Tam with Twilight Dream to end the match and Tam's career. Amazing stuff with each woman giving it their all. Tam goes out on her shield after giving it everything she could while Sayu remains the top star of Stardom. ****1/4
Yuya Uemura vs. Yuto-Ice at NJPW Road to King of Pro Wrestling 2025 Night 2: An awesome fight between these two! From the opening bell, Ice wants to fight and brawl while Yuya tries to keep things as a wrestling match. Ice is able to get Yuya to the outside and brawl into the crowd a bit, ending with a running knee driving Yuya's head through a table! Back in the ring, Yuya is able to fire up and start dishing out his own big strikes but in a nice touch: every time he goes for a cover and Ice kicks out, Yuya goes for an arm submission on the previously injured elbow of Ice. Some incredible strike exchanges and bombs from both men including an awesome spot of Ice slapping Yuya, only for Yuya to fire back with a stiff headbutt! Yuya is able to lock in an armbar but Ice just refuses to give up. Yuya breaks the hold and Ice spits in his face! Deadbolt Suplex by Yuya and right into a kimura and finally Ice has to tap! What a match! Loved the intensity and aggression to everything these two did. Some great storytelling with Ice wanting to punish Yuya for injuring him years ago and Yuya proving he can fight back just as hard while also going after that same injury. Great stuff! ****1/4
Death Match for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: El Desperado (c) vs. Jun Kasai at NJPW Death Pain Invitational: An incredibly bloody and violence war between these two. We get a few opening wrestling exchanges before Kasai says "Fuck that" and brings out the weapons! Light tubes, barbed wire, chairs and panes of glass all come into play as these two beat the holy hell out of each other. Some nice storytelling mixed in as Desperado is more equipped to drop big bombs, but in this match Kasai is able to be a wild man and inflicts serious punishment on himself and Desperado with his crazy ass spots. So many insane spots like Desperado tossing Kasai off a ladder into barbed wire on the floor and Kasai hitting a goddamn splash from the top of a ladder onto a light tube covered Desperado! Kasai starts dropping Desperado on his head with some sick arm-trapped piledrivers but Desperado keeps kicking out. Desperado is able to rally and bombard Kasai with 3 Pinche Locos to finally put down and defeat his Death Match rival. This was just awesome and violent! Both men went all out here to deliver one of the best Death Matches I have ever seen! The violence, the spots, the visual of both men wearing white gear while covered in blood. It was all so great! ****1/4
Street Fight for the WWE Undisputed Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes at WWE Summerslam 2025 Night 2: A big bombfest of a match from these two. Bell rings and they go right at it and we are off. Some nice brawling around ringside as they use the ring steps to batter each other before we get into the main portion of the match: both men throwing nothing but bombs all match. Lots of AAs and Cody Cutters as these two seem to know that nothing but a big shot is gonna get the win. Cody breaks out a piledriver for a nice spot but Cena plays possum and suckers him into a STF for a nice near-fall. Cena rolls back the clock with a Code Red and an AA through the announce table. Both men are still throwing bombs at each other as they fight into the crowd and end up on the stage with Cena hitting an AA on the ramp. Cena has to carry Cody back to the ring though and the delay allows Cody to cover and hit a Cross Rhodes to even the match back up. Cena locks in for another STF but Cody is able to drag himself into the ropes and force Cena to let go. Cody hits THREE Cross Rhodes! Cover but Cena kicks out! Cody is shocked and tries to use the belt but Cena ducks it. A pair of AAs and an Avalanche AA! Cover but Cody kicks out this time! Cena goes for a second Avalanche AA through a table but Cody counters with a Cody Cutter through the table! Cena struggles to his feet as Cody hits one final Cross Rhodes to reclaim the title. This match felt like an epic battle between two faces of different generations. While the match was very much a "finisher, kickout, finisher, kickout" style of match, it worked for what they were going for here. Cena finally looks like the Cena of old on his way out the door and puts over Cody huge. ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Block A Match: Yota Tsuji vs. Yuya Uemura at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 3: An awesome back and forth match from these rivals! Right from the start of the match we get a clear story that is told all match: Tsuji is bigger and more powerful so Yuya needs to try and out-wrestle him and use his speed. Great stuff early on with Tsuji manhandling Yuya, only for Yuya to respond back by arm dragging Tsuji to the mat and working over his left arm. Some awesome back and forth wrestling from these two with Tsuji just muscling Yuya around but Yuya sticking to the arm like glue to keep up the attack. Tsuji is finally able to hit a top rope Spanish Fly to cut off Yuya's momentum. Tsuji starts laying in some absolutely brutal chops but Yuya isn't staying down and starts firing back with his own strikes. Yuya misses a top rope crossbody and Tsuji charges with a Gene Blaster but Yuta arm drags him to block it! Yuya locks in the Deadbolt Suplex and Tsuji fights to block it even though his arm is too damaged to escape out of it so he has to headbutt out! Yuya comes right back with his own headbutt to rock Tsuji! Gene Blaster again but Yuya blocks with an elbow! Tsuji is still able to block the Deadbolt Suplex but not a German Suplex and Dragon Suplex for nice near-falls. High Fly Flow by Yuya! Kickout! Yuya goes back to the top for another but Tsuji hits Gene Blaster as Yuya comes off the top! A second Gene Blaster attempted but Yuya counters with a rana! Kickout! Tsuji full on spears Yuya out of his boots with a second and final Gene Blaster to get the win! Holy Shit! What a finishing stretch! A solid and well laid out beginning to the match with Yuya able to out-wrestle Tsuji and work over his arm until Tsuji started to come at Yuya full force. Incredible counters and near-falls for both men until Tsuji is able to yet again put Yuya down. ****1/4
TNA X-Division Championship Match: Leon Slater (c) vs. Je'Von Evans at TNA Bound for Glory 2025: An excellent back and forth match from these two future stars. We get a very friendly but competitive opening exchange as both men toy with each other but things quickly start to get heated and the aggression picks up. From there, we get a more high impact back and forth as neither man is able to maintain control of the match for long before their opponent is able to come back with some big offense of their own. Evans at one point hits a nasty OG Cutter taking Slater from the apron to the floor, only for Slater to counter an OG Cutter later in the ring with a neckbreaker in mid-air! Match spills to the floor as both men dive at each other into and out of the crowd when the bell rings for the time limit draw! But wait! The match is restarted! And these two go off! Running knee for Evans for a 2 count. Slater comes back with an Utopia and a big dive over the ring post! Slater goes to the top but Evans rushes up and hits a Spanish Fly! The lights go out and Darkstate runs out to attack both men. Match is a No Contest. Goddamnit! We got a nice slow build before these two started pulling off the bigger and bigger bombs. After the tease of the time limit draw, both men came out the gate swinging for the fences and were building to an awesome finish... and then TNA had to be TNA. What a shame. ****1/4
30 Minute Iron Man Match: Lee Moriarty vs. Nigel McGuinness at ROH Final Battle 2025: An excellent battle of technical wrestling from two of the best. Things start off slow with lots of grappling and mat wrestling before Moriarty gets Nigel in the Border City Stretch early on and Nigel taps almost immediately to save himself from further damage. Nigel is able to take over and starts going to work on Moriarty's left arm to set up for the London Dungeon. Match spills to the outside with Nigel keeping on Moriarty with lots of uppercuts and strikes but as Nigel rolls back into the ring, Moriarty catches him with a small package for a second fall! As before, Nigel goes right back to work on the arm and we get a bit of back and forth before Nigel locks in the London Dungeon. Moriarty tries to get to the ropes but can't and has to tap for Nigel's first fall. Nigel tries to go right back to the London Dungeon but Moritary is ready this time and quickly counters into a roll-up for a third fall. Nigel doesn't let this detour him as he keeps on Moriarty's arm with his offense. Some nice near-falls for both men as Nigel hits a beautiful and stiff Jawbreaker Lariat for 2. Moriarty rolls to the outside and a distraction by Shane Taylor allows him to lock Nigel in a sleeper to try for a count-out in a neat spot. Nigel beats the count and Moriarty goes for the Border City Stretch but this time, Nigel is able to counter it into a roll-up for his second fall. Time is running out as Shane Taylor tells Moriarty to run out the clock but Moriarty wants to keep fighting. Nigel scores a roll-up with a handful of tights to tie things up! Another roll-up by Nigel and he takes the lead with 4 falls! Shane Taylor decks Nigel with a punch to knock him out behind the referee's back and Moriarty gets the tying fall with a second left on the clock. It is a draw! Moriarty doesn't want a draw and we get sudden death! Both men go right at it with back and forth pin attempts to get the deciding fall. Moriarty counters a bridging pin into one of his own and gets the win! What a match! Awesome back and forth technical wrestling all match with some excellent storytelling mixed in. Nigel had control most of the match with his size, power and experience but Moriarty was able to pick his spots time and time again and counter at the right moments to get quick and decisive falls over Nigel. The final few minutes were a flurry of quick counters and pin attempts and worked so well. Great way to pass the torch to Moriarty. ****1/4
NXT Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je'Von Evans at NXT 12/9: A damn near perfect David vs. Goliath match. We get the story of the match in the opening moments with Oba looking to manhandle Je'Von, only for Je'Von to catch him with a quick knee to the face for a big near-fall. From there, the match plays out very much the same: Oba looks to use his power to throw Je'Von around and hit big strikes and offense while Je'Von looks to stick and move with quick offense and some big dive and high risk offense. The match is exciting and fast paced as both men keep things moving. Je'Von dodges a charging Oba, who crashes up and over the announcer's table and almost is counted out but makes it back in a 9. Je'Von is waiting and nails a pair of Frog Splashes on Oba for a near-fall. Some great, quick back and forth action before Je'Von nails a Cutter followed by an OG Cutter on Oba! Cover! 1... 2... someone pulls the referee from the ring! It's Ricky Saints! Je'Von takes out Ricky with a dive and looks to stay on Oba, but a big Lariat shuts him down. Fall From Grace by Oba to retain. What a match! The action and storytelling was excellent all match with Je'Von really pushing Oba with the fast paced he was working. The Ricky Saints interference and Je'Von losing was a bit deflating but all worked here. ****1/4
IYO SKY vs. Mayu Iwatani at Marigold Grand Destiny 2025: A great match between the former Ace and the new Ace. Things start off friendly and very even with both women able to out-wrestle the other at times. As the match goes on though, you can see IYO getting frustrated at Mayu matching her and starts to up the aggression, only for Mayu to continue to match her every step of the way. IYO hits a big dive on the outside, only for Mayu to immediately fire back with one of her own. Mayu starts looking to work over IYO but a body slam on the apron cuts off Mayu's momentum and allows IYO to take over. Some nice targeted offense on Mayu's back, who sells it perfectly. Mayu eventually starts firing back and we get an awesome back and forth of these two throwing everything they can at each other. Mayu hits IYO with her own Moonsault at one point for a near-fall only for IYO to fire back with a Mayu Dragon Suplex for her own near-fall. Some more back and forth before Mayu hits her Springboard Reverse Rana for the closest of near-falls. IYO follows up with a Straightjacket German and a pair of Over the Moonsaults to get the win. Just an awesome match from two incredible workers. Loved the subtle storytelling of IYO getting more and more aggressive when she sees that Mayu isn't the woman she last faced so many years ago and needed to bring her best to put her away while Mayu looked like a top star against the former Ace. ****1/4
Four Way Ladder Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: Brodido (c) vs. The Young Bucks vs. JetSpeed vs. Josh Alexander and Hechicero at AEW All Out 2025: A wild, car crash style match. We get some nice early back and forth from all the teams before the ladders and tables come into play. Tons of wild action and big spots with some decent storytelling mixed in like the Bucks trying to work with Hechicero and Alexander, only for the partnership to quickly fall apart, and Brody being a monster all match. Great usage of the ladders all match before guys start getting taken out like Brody hitting Bailey with a Gonso Bomb though a ladder and the heels literally lifting a ladder with Knight on it and dumping him through a pair of tables on the floor! The Bucks try to climb up but Brody stops them and sets up Bandido to nail a moonsault while holding a ladder to the floor on top of the heels! Brodido climbs up to retain in a hell of a match! A wild match that really did a great job showcasing the new teams in the tag division while the Bucks continue to be incredible. Maybe a bit long but a great "turn your brain off and watch" match ****1/4
John Cena vs. Logan Paul at WWE Clash in Paris: An awesome back and forth bomb-fest of a match. We start off with some basic wrestling early on and we can see that Logan may be faster but Cena has the power advantage. Logan looks to move fast and wear down Cena with some quick strikes and big offense but Cena is able to take everything Logan dishes out and give it right back. Match quickly becomes a war of attrition as both men start going for their best shots early and even start pulling off some different offense like Logan using a Zig Zag and Cena firing back with an End of Days. Logan even tries to use Cena's own offense against him, only for Cena to hit him with an AA. Logan is able to nail a big right hand to cut Cena off and hits a pair of Frog Splash but only gets a 2. Logan tries for an AA of his own but Cena blocks with a Styles Clash! Nice finishing stretch with Cena trying for a Super AA, which Logan fights off and goes for a right hand again but Cena is able to duck to hit a final AA to get the win. The action all match was great with both men breaking out all their big offense and even some new stuff. Logan was so focused on proving he was better than Cena, even imitating his offense, that Cena was able to avoid Logan's big right hand to put him away. ****1/4
The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Ricochet vs. Kenny Omega, Mark Briscoe, "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight at AEW Dynamite 4/30: A super fun and exciting All Star tag match. Right from the start, they tease Omega and Okada locking up, only for Okada to tag out right away to avoid Omega. The Bucks are able to isolate Omega right away and they work a classic old school style match with the heels using the numbers game to get some early heat, only for the babyfaces to start outsmarting them and turn the tables on them. Eventually the heels take back over as they toy with the babyfaces and mock the crowd. Things start to pick up with all 4 of the babyfaces hitting big dives to start a comeback, only for the heels to use their tandem offense to cut them off again. At long last, Mark gets the hot tag and starts running wild on the heels! Lots of fast paced action until Omega and Okada finally get in the ring together! The two old rivals go at it as the crowd goes nuts! The Bucks come in to stop Omega as things break down. Everyone is hitting big offense and we get some great near-falls. Insane spot with Ricochet on Bailey's shoulders while standing on the apron and Knight dropkicks Ricochet off Bailey and into the Bucks on the floor! WOW! Mark and Okada are alone in the ring and Mark goes for the Froggy Bow but Ricochet shoves Mark off the top rope. Rainmaker by Okada and that ends it. Awesome match with so many storylines and feuds intertwined together. Amazing action all match with everyone looking incredible plus the tease of more Okada and Omega down the road. Super fun match! ****1/4
FTR vs. The Outrunners at AEW Collision 7/5: An awesome old school tag team match! We get a very standard start to the match with FTR using their tag team abilities to control the ring and try to isolate one of the babyfaces. Outrunners are able to fight back and get a bit of a comeback until Cash drops Floyd knee first on the steel steps and Dax busts open Truth. Suddenly the energy of the match changes as FTR works over Truth and keeps him from tagging in Floyd, even pulling Floyd from the apron at times to attack the knee more. Crowd really rallies behind Truth and cheers him on as he tries to fight back and make the tag but FTR just won't give him an inch. Dax misses a Diving Headbutt and Truth is finally able to make the hot tag to Floyd. A great bit of selling by Floyd as he fights back on basically one leg while Truth tries to recover on the apron to help his partner. FTR try to collect themselves and fight back only for the Outrunners to hit Cash with Shatter Machine! Cover! Dax makes the save at 2! Amazing near-fall! The match breaks down as everyone goes at it. Dax suplexes Truth to the floor and is able to sneak up on Floyd for FTR to hit Shatter Machine and get the win while Stokely is holding Truth's foot on the outside. The finish was a little flat but the match overall was incredible! Perfect heel tactics by FTR while Outrunners had an all time babyface performance and comeback to almost get the win. ****1/4
TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: The Street Profits (c) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. #DIY at WWE Smackdown 4/25: A wild, car crash style match! Everyone goes right at it and the fight spills all over the ring and ringside as the weapons come into play. Lots of chairs, ladders, tables and even a prosthetic leg all come into play with a ton of wild spots. Big dives to the outside and off the ladders. Sabin splashes Dawkins through a table. Ford does a Senton over the top to the outside onto Ciampa through a table! Ciampa stops Ford from going up the ladder and hits an Air Raid Crash through a ladder! Skull & Bones on Gargano by the Guns through another table! Ciampa tries to climb up for the belts but the Guns move the ladder and leave him hanging! Dawkins with a Spear off a ladder to Ciampa and through a table! Holy shit! The Guns, Gargano and Ford all fight to get up the ladder with Ford trapped in the ladder at one point. Ford is able to climb the side of the ladder to knock Sabin and Gargano off the top! Ford gets the belts for the Street Profits to retain! Insane match with so many awesome spots. Crowd took a little while to get into the action but once they did, they were super into all the action. Big match for all 3 teams! ****1/4
Champion vs. Champion Match: NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi vs. AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19: An all out bomb-fest! We get some early displays of power showing that both men are very evenly matched until Takeshita unloads an elbow and drops Shingo! From there we get the story: Shingo may be the veteran but Takeshita is the more dangerous of the two. Match is nothing but big bombs and stiff strikes: elbows, punches, Lariats, suplexes and lots of near-falls. Shingo is able to hit Made in Japan for a near-fall but Takeshita fires right back with a Blue Thunder Bomb! Last of the Dragon out of nowhere by Shingo but he has taken so much punishment and he can't capitalize. Both men keep swinging away at each other and even hit dual Reverse Ranas on each other. Takeshita looks for another elbow and Shingo fights like a madman to block it to nicely put over how effective it is. Even so, Takeshita nails the elbow and Raging Fire to get the win. Just a great bell to bell fight between two hard hitting men. Some nice storytelling that really puts over Takeshita as a threat. ****1/4
Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet at AEW Dynamite 2/5: A really great and physical match from these two! Ricochet jumps Swerve on the ramp and attacks him with a chair. Ricochet is able to get Swerve in the ring and looks for the quick win but Swerve ain't going down easy and starts fighting back. Great heated action all match with these two going blow for blow and counter for counter all match. Some awesome spots like Swerve countering a rana to powerbomb Ricochet on the guardrail! Ouch! As the match goes on, we get some nice big near-falls with Swerve hitting the Swerve Stomp and Ricochet hitting a 450 and Shooting Star Press for 2. Ricochet goes for Spirit Gun but Swerve cuts him off with a House Call! Swerve goes for a Swerve Stomp but Ricochet covers up and inadvertently low blows Swerve! Spirit Gun by Ricochet and he gets the win. Awesome first match from these two with a lot of heat to their offense. I liked the clever finish with Ricochet cheating on accident and stealing the win. ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match: El Phantasmo vs. Zack Sabre Jr. at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 6: A really great back and forth match that told a great story as well. From the opening bell, Sabre looks to ground ELP to the mat and work him over with hold and submissions. ELP does a great job fighting back time after time though and tries to prove that he can hang with Sabre, who treats him like a bother rather than a worthy opponent. ELP is able to start gaining momentum by using his high flying offense and big bombs to put Sabre on the defensive. This only serves to frustrate Sabre, who starts getting more and more aggressive with his offense as he works the neck of ELP and tries to shut him down. ELP does a great job staying in the match and even uses some of Sabe's own trademark offense against him for some nice near-falls. Sabre finally has enough and slaps the shit out of ELP! Zack Driver for a near-fall before Sabre ties up ELP like a pretzel and taps him out. Damn good match! Sabre being the cocky champion that took ELP lightly only for ELP to almost catch him multiple times was a great story for the match. Some really good action as Sabre got more and more aggressive until he finally snapped and stopped toying with ELP to put him away. ****1/4
Unsanctioned Match: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025: Another brutal and violent chapter in these two's legendary feud. Things kick off with both men getting in a hockey fight and here we go! Lots of brawling all over the building before they break into the weapons. Tables, chairs and even a hockey stick as these two do everything they can to punish each other. Nice storytelling all match with Sami's neck still being hurt as he sells it even while fighting back on Owens. As things go on, Sami is able to go bomb for bomb with Owens, who starts to get desperate. Owens uses the referee as a shield to block a Helluva Kick and hits a Stunner on Zayn, who kicks out when a second referee enters so Owens takes out that referee in frustration. Owens spends too much time yelling at Sami that Sami recovers and nails the Helluva Kick! Kickout! Sami grabs a barbed wire chair and attacks Owens with it! Blue Thunder Bomb onto the barbed wire chair! Sami goes for one last Helluva Kick but Owens counters with a Pop-Up Powerbomb! Owens wraps a chair around Sami's neck and runs him into the ringpost! My God! Apron Powerbomb! Agents and referees try to end this as Owens goes for another one but Sami is still fighting! A second Apron Powerbomb puts out the last of Sami's fight. Cover and Owens gets the win. Another great match from these two. Loved Sami pushing himself to match Owens even as his neck was bothering him all match. Meanwhile, Owens got more and more violent as the match went on and got the win on an all but dead Sami. ****1/4
Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Women's Tournament Semi-Final Match: Mercedes Mone vs. Athena at AEW Dynamite 4/16-Spring Breakthru: An excellent back and forth match. Both women come in with a near undefeated streak and the crowd is hot for this match! We get a slow start with both women working for holds and taking their time to feel each other out. Things build nicely as both women start firing off some big shots back and forth and we get a nice story to the action: Athena is the harder striker and stronger of the two while Mone is the better wrestler. A ton of great back and forth action and exchanges including Athena even using the Statement Maker on Mone, who is able to reverse it into one of her own for a nice near-fall. Match spills to the floor and Mone looks for a move off the barricade but Athena counters and dropkicks Mone into the barricade. Athena gets Mone back into the ring and goes for the O-Face but Mone catches her! Roll-up by Mone with the tights! Mone gets the win to advance! Really loved this match. Just a straight up back and forth match with these two laying in every strike and piece of offense they could dish out. Even liked the slight sloppiness of the match as a way to sell these two being in a struggle to win. Finish was perfect as it protected both women as well. Great stuff! ****1/4
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Match: El Desperado (c) vs. Kosei Fujita at NJPW Road to the New Beginning 2025 Night 7: An awesome battle between two very talented technical wrestlers! Things start off even with some really nice mat wrestling from both men before they start firing off chops at each other. Fujita seems to be able to out-strike Desperado as things progress so Desperado goes after the knee to set up for Numero Dos. Fujita keeps fighting back, only for Desperado to go after the bad shoulder of Fujita and gives himself two body parts to work over. Great stuff with Desperado really working over Fujita and forcing him to dig deep to fight back, which Fujita does with his own submission work. Desperado has to, yet again, change his game plan and starts bombing Fujita with some big offense. Fujita is able to stay on Desperado with his submissions, even tying up Desperado for an amazing looking submission right into a roll-up for a big near-fall. Desperado is finally able to hit Pinche Loco. Desperado rolls and looks for another but Fujita backdrops him for a cover! Only 2! That was Fujita's last breath of resistance as another Pinche Loco by Desperado ends it. Awesome stuff! Loved Fujita pushing Desperado and forcing him to, in a way, keep up with the young challenger. Desperado was able to keep changing his tactics on the fly to put away Fujita on this day but clearly the gap between the two is shrinking with each match. ****1/4
Continental Classic 2025 Semi-Final Match: Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita at AEW World's End 2025: A fantastic story and action-filled match! We start off with both men feeling each other out but very quickly we see the story of the match play out: Okada wants to keep things steady and in his wheelhouse while Takeshita wants to push the pace and hammer Okada into defeat. Some really nice early exchanges highlight this as Okada goes after the neck to set up the Rainmaker and even gets a little cocky doing it, which only serves to piss off Takeshita. We start getting the bigger bombs as Takeshita counters a Tombstone into a Bastard Driver/Wheelbarrow German Suplex combo. Powerdrive Knee is blocked as Okada counters with a Cobra Flowson. Rainmaker attempted but Takeshita counters with a beautiful Blue Thunder Bomb! Holy Shit! More back and forth counters as Okada looks desperate to hit the Rainmaker but Takeshita is able to keep avoiding it. Powerdrive Knee by Takeshita but Okada kicks out! Okada blocks a Raging Fire and goes to the corner and takes a screwdriver from under the turnbuckle! Referee gets distracted in the corner and Okada nails Takeshita with the screwdriver to steal the win! This match was an excellent set-up for a rematch between these two. Incredible back and forth and near perfect chemistry but more than that was the story being told. Okada was outclassed by Takeshita almost all match to the point where he had to cheat to get the win. Can't wait to see what these two pull off next time. ****1/4
Survival of the Fittest Match for the ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Hechicero vs. Blake Christian vs. Komander vs. Sammy Guevara vs. The Beast Mortos at ROH Final Battle 2025: An exciting and action filled match with some good storytelling mixed in. Things kick off right away with the LFI teammates working together with Hechicero to take control early on. Some fun spots like Blake trying to work with his fellow heels, Bandido and Komander working as a team to fight back and eventually LFI turning on Hechicero and laying him out. All great stuff to set up stuff for later in the match. Bandido and Komander are able to work together and eliminate Sammy first with an X-Knee/Cielito Lindo combo. Mortos is pissed about his teammate's elimination and starts laying out everyone until Komander catches him with an insane Springboard Reverse Rana! German Suplex by Bandido and a Destroyer by Blake before Hechicero hits a Head Scissor Driver on Mortos for the elimination. Komander and Bandido team up to work over Hechicero until Blake takes out all 3 men. Blake hits a Lethal Injection on Komander to give us another elimination. Nice moment of Blake teasing working with Hechicero before attacking him from behind and all 3 men go at it for a bit. Lots of back and forth action and near-falls before Bandido gets a quick sunset flip pin on Blake to eliminate him. Blake is pissed and attacks Bandido before snapping his bad shoulder. With it down to just Hechicero and Bandido, Hechicero goes right after the bad shoulder and works over Bandido. Awesome selling and babyface comeback by Bandido, who digs deep to keep fighting off Hechicero and his attacks on the arm. Finish comes when Bandido is able to counter Hechicero with a Reverse Rana and small packages him for the 3 and the final elimination. Really great match that allowed everyone involved to shine. Bandido/Hechicero at the end went maybe a little long but nicely played into their past matches while Blake got to be a sneaky heel, Komander the high flying babyface and LFI the bully heels. Great stuff from everyone involved. ****1/4
ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Mascara Dorada at AEW Collision 11/1-Fright Night Collision: A great back and forth battle from these two Luchadors. Fast pace opening exchanges from both men which highlights the power advantage of Bandido and the speed and agility advantage of Dorada. Bandido goes for a dive early but Dorada is able to dodge it and toss Bandido shoulder first into the barricade. Bandido comes up favoring his shoulder and Dorada goes to work on him, forcing Bandido to fight from underneath. Some awesome back and forth action as these two go all out with their offense. Dorada goes for a Shooting Star Press but Bandido gets his knees up to block and looks for the 21-Plex. Dorada is able to block and sets up Bandido for a top rope Hurricanrana but Bandido rolls through into a sunset bomb for a near-fall. X-Knee by Bandido followed by the 21-Plex and Bandido retains! Just an awesome highlight reel match from these two. Tons of awesome counters, sequences and near-falls plus some great selling by Bandido, who had to fight back at times with one arm. ****1/4
Adam Page, Kenny Omega and Jet Speed vs. Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks at AEW Dynamite 9/3: An exciting and action-filled 8 man tag. We get the standard opening few minutes with lots of quick tags from both teams so that everyone gets a chance to shine. Heels try to isolate early but the babyfaces are able to quickly rally to stay in the match. Tide of the match finally turns when the Bucks hit Jet Speed with a pair of TK Drivers including one to Bailey on the floor! Heels go to work on Bailey for the heat, but Bailey does a great job of staying alive. Hot tag to Omega, who comes in and runs wild! We get a great moment with Omega and Page going at it with the Bucks to play off their past. Incredible finishing stretch as everyone pulls out all the stops and hits big offense on each other. Knight is picked off by the heels with the Bucks and Alexander hitting him with a TK Driver before Fletcher hits a Brainbuster to get the win. Just an awesome match! Lots of storylines and angles mixed into the match while also being a fast paced match full of big spots and nice near-falls. Excellent match for TV. ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Playoff Match: Shota Umino vs. Yota Tsuji at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 17: A great back and forth match from these two future top stars. We get the standard feeling out process early with both men looking even in terms of wrestling skills. Tsuji starts to up the physicality by starching Shota with some brutal chops and using his size and power advantage to pretty much bully Shota. A nice little story beat to the match is Tsuji seemingly pushing Shota to fire back on him and fight harder to match him. Tsuji wants Shota to be his equal and push each other further. Shota finally gets an opening with a dropkick to Tsuji's knee and goes to work on the big man with Dragon Screws and STFs to try and keep Tsuji on the mat. Tsuji is able to keep rallying and fighting back even with the bad knee now. Great spot with Tsuji trying for the Marlowe Crash, only for his knee to give out and Shota to go right back to work on it. Tsuji is finally able to cut off Shota's momentum with a Boston Crab, calling back to their past as Young Lions, but Shota is able to fight his way to the ropes to break the hold. Finishing stretch is these two going all out with lots of strikes, lariats, counters and exchanges. Shota does a great job of continuously blocking and avoiding the Gene Blaster until finally Tsuji is able to nail it but Shota kicks out! Tsuji goes for broke and hits a Guerrero Special before one final Gene Blaster gives him the win! While a long match, everything here really worked for me. Some great selling and back and forth action from these two trying to prove that they do belong at the top of the card. Shota tried to chip away at Tsuji's base but Tsuji was able to fight through the pain to get the win. ****1/4
IWGP Women's Championship Match: Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. Syuri at Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom 2025: A great hard hitting battle from these two. We get a nice start with Mayu using his speed to try and counter the impressive striking and submission skills of Syuri. The match has a great flow to it with both women taking control of the match from time to time and slowly building to the bigger and bigger bombs. Syuri starts looking for submissions as time goes on and does a great job of switching up the holds to keep Mayu trapped and making you think she will have to tap but Mayu makes it to the ropes. Mayu starts going for broke and hitting Syuri with everything she has including Dragon Suplexes and a Moonsault. Mayu tries for her Springboard Reverse Rana but fails to hit it but can hit another Moonsault for a nice near-fall. Mayu finally hits the Two-Step Dragon Suplex but somehow Syuri kicks out. Mayu hit her best shot and Syuri is still not going down! Syuri nails a German Suplex for only a 1 count before she starts hammering Mayu. Knockout kicks by Syuri but Mayu still won't stay down. Finally, Syuri hits Syu-Sekai to take the last of the fight out of Mayu and get the win. Just an awesome back and forth match from these two as they did anything and everything to put the other down. ****1/4
AEW International Championship Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Orange Cassidy at AEW Dynamite 2/26: An excellent bell to bell action-filled match! Some mind games at the start with Takeshita taking Cassidy's sunglasses and Cassidy doing his lazy strikes before both men get serious. Cassidy is faster but Takeshita's power is able to shut down Cassidy's early momentum and he goes to work on Cassidy for some heat. Cassidy does a nice job fighting back even as Takeshita is able to stop him time and time again. Awesome spot with Cassidy going for Stundog Millionaire but Takeshita just powers him up into a Blue Thunder Bomb. Wow! Match spills to the floor and Cassidy is able to sucker Takeshita in close and hits a Beach Break on the announcer's table! Cassidy tries to keep the pressure on with more big bombs but a diving DDT is cut off by a big Takeshita elbow! Raging Fire by Takeshita but Cassidy counters with a Stundog Millionaire! Orange Punch is stopped by Takeshita, who catches Cassidy. Bastard Driver by Takeshita only for Cassidy to counter a German Suplex into a roll-up! Kickout! Another Orange Punch is blocked and Takeshita hits Raging Fire and finally puts Cassidy down. What a finish and what a match! Loved Cassidy knowing he was outmatched so he had to go for big shots all match for any hope of winning. Takeshita yet again looks like a world class wrestler here as he was able to easily counter some of Cassidy's best shots to get the win. ****1/4
GHC Heavyweight Championship Match: Kaito Kiyomiya (c) vs. OZAWA at Pro Wrestling NOAH The New Year 2025: A really great match to put over the new top guy in NOAH. Match starts and OZAWA immediately runs and stalls on the outside, looking to frustrate and annoy Kaito. It works as Kaito rushes to fight OZAWA, only for OZAWA to ground and work over the champion. Kaito starts fighting back but Team 2000X distracts the referee which allows OZAWA to use his crutch to take back over on Kaito. Classic wrestling stuff here with OZAWA showing off and messing with Kaito all while Kaito gets more and more frustrated at his antics. Kaito is finally able to mount a comeback and we get a more back and forth match with both getting some nice near-falls. Kaito starts to lay in his Shining Wizards on OZAWA before looking for the Shining Lancer but OZAWA pulls the referee in the way. OZAWA goes for a low blow but Kaito blocks it! Low blow by Kaito! Shining Lancer but no referee. Omos comes out and Kaito takes his eyes off OZAWA, which allows him to low blow Kaito. Shining Lancer by OZAWA for a near-fall. OZAWA finally hits the Phoenix Splash and we have a new champion! I really loved this match. OZAWA immediately got over as a top guy by going toe to toe with the Ace of the company and masterfully played mind games to frustrate the honorable Kaito, who showed some nice aggression against his new rival. ****1/4
Continental Classic 2025 Gold League Match: Kyle Fletcher vs. Kevin Knight at AEW Dynamite 12/3: A great match-up of power vs. speed. Things start off with some basic wrestling and holds but we can see early that Fletcher has a clear size and power advantage. Knight knows this and immediately starts pushing the pace and uses his quickness to even things up against Fletcher. Really enjoy Knight being so fantic and quick with his offense and that once he finds success with his Springboard Clothesline, he utilizes the move to cut off Fletcher multiple times. Fletcher is able to keep muscling Knight around at times and eventually tries for a Turnbuckle Brainbuster but Knight traps him in the Tree of Woe and nails the Coast to Coast Dropkick! UFO Splash but Fletcher gets the knees up! Fletcher hits a Liger Bomb but Knight still kicks out. Knight tries to rally and goes for a leaping clothesline but Fletcher catches him with a Superkick! Brainbuster by Fletcher and he gets the win. Awesome match that did an amazing job showcasing both men but especially Knight. Really loved that Knight is so young and inexperienced that he tried for the same combo he beat Darby with and kept spamming the same move when he found success with it. However, Fletcher is more experienced and was able to counter Knight at the right time to get the win. What a match! ****1/4
New Japan Cup 2025 Final Match: David Finlay vs. Shota Umino at NJPW New Japan Cup 2025 Night 9: A really great back and forth battle between these two. Things start off slow as both feel each other out but it doesn't take Shota long to use his newly found edge to go after Finlay's knee. Dropkicks and Dragon Scress by Shota to soften up the knee before locking in the STF for a nice near-fall. Finlay responds back by cutting off Shota with an Irish Curse Backbreaker, even with the one good knee. Finlay doesn't stop there and quickly turns this match into a fight on the outside and slams Shota through the timekeeper's table to go after Shota's back. With both men now wounded, they go at each other with all they got. Lots of back and forth action and counters all while the crowd cheered on both men. Finlay goes for a Spear but gets cut off by a knee from Shota, followed by a big Lariat. Shota tries for the Second Chapter, but Finlay fights it off and nails Into Oblivion. Finlay goes for the killing blow but Shota with a roll-up! Kickout! Shota goes for the Second Chapter one more time but Finlay rolls to block it and nails Overkill for the 3 and the win! Awesome stuff by both men with the last several minutes of back and forth exchanges and near-falls really getting the crowd into all the action. Finlay gets the win here but you get the feeling it could have gone either way. ****1/4
Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Men's Tournament Quarterfinal Match: Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight at AEW Dynasty 2025: A really great back and forth match between the newcomer, Knight and the veteran, Ospreay. Match starts and we get some quick wrestling exchanges from both as the story of the match unfolds: Knight is the faster and more agile wrestler while Ospreay has the power and size advantage. Knight keeps Ospreay on his toes in the early going with his quickness until Ospreay is able to shut him down with some powerful strikes. Ospreay goes to work on Knight by using his size to slow him down and ground him while forcing Knight to work from underneath. Both men start stringing together some quick offensive shots as the match starts to build. Ospreay goes for a Styles Clash on the floor but Knight, brilliantly, tucks his arms to block it and counters into a brutal DDT on the ramp! Knight keeps on Ospreay with another DDT for a nice near-fall. Ospreay fights back and looks for his own big bombs but Knight seems to have a counter for everything and we get some awesome exchanges and near-falls. Ospreay is finally able to nail the Styles Clash for a big near-fall. Oscutter gets another near-fall before the Hidden Blade ends things. Great match that allowed Knight to get over with the fans. Lots of great back and forth action and I loved how many times Knight was able to counter Ospreay and looked to almost pick up the win. However, Ospreay was too much for Knight to overcome in this match. Great stuff. ****1/4
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW Windy City Riot 2025: An incredible match of the old Ace facing a young rival from his past one last time. Some nice back and forth wrestling early and we get a clear visual early that Takeshita is the bigger and stronger wrestler of the two men now. Tanahashi has to use his experience to counter Takeshita and goes to work on his knee to try and ground the bigger man and weaken him. Great selling by Takeshita, who fights through all the pain to just hammer Tanahashi. Even with all the punishment he takes, Tanahashi is able to find clever ways to counter Takeshita's offense and starts to gain some ground, even hitting a High Fly Flow for a nice near-fall. Tanahashi goes for an arm-trapped German but Takeshita smashes the back of his head into Tanahashi and nails him with a violent elbow to cut off Tanahashi. Takeshita starts laying in his big shots on Tanahashi before adding insult to injury with a High Fly Flow of his own but Tanahashi kicks out at 1! The Ace will not go down easy! Tanahashi fires up and hits a standing High Fly Flow and goes for one last High Fly Flow but Takeshita gets his knees up to block it. Takeshita starts looking for the kill with more strikes and big bombs. Raging Fire by Takeshita but Tanahashi counters with one last small package to try for the win but Takeshita kicks out. Powerdrive Knee by Takeshita. And another and another. 5 in total and Tanahashi still kicks out one last time! Double Knees by Takeshita and Raging Fire finally hits to put down Tanahashi. What a match! I love Tanahashi having to be the better wrestler and out-smart Takeshita all match because he wasn't able to go toe to toe with him. Takeshita took everything Tanahashi threw and dished it right back at him before finally defeating the man that beat him over a decade ago. ****1/4
IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship Match: Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Yuya Uemura at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2025 Night 2: A really great back and forth battle from these rivals. We get a rather slow start with these two feeling each other out and trying to work for openings. Yuya is able to start getting the best of Tsuji with his quick arm drags and grounding the bigger man. Tsuji responds by going after Yuya's bad arm and makes that the target of his offense. Tsuji starts rolling and hits a big dive to the outside but comes down awkwardly on his knee. Back in the ring, Yuya goes right after Tsuji's knee to cut him off and locks in a Figure Four for a nice near-fall. More back and forth action with both men going after their opponent's damaged limb with targeted attacks and some nice submissions. Yuya keeps going to the top looking for his version of the High Fly Flow but Tsuji is able to block or avoid it each time. Yuya is finally able to hit Tsuji with enough big offense to rock him and nails the High Fly Flow for a big near-fall. Yuya starts looking for the Deadbolt Supex, even with the hurt arm. Tsuji does an excellent job fighting like crazy to block it but Yuya eventually hits the Deadbolt Suplex but his arm is too hurt for the bridge. Yuya gets to his feet but is nailed by a Gene Blaster by Tsuji! Cover and Tsuji gets the win! I really loved this match! Really great selling all match by both men and the finish was fast paced and frantic with both looking for the killing blow. While Yuya hit his first, the damage done by Tsuji gave him enough time to recover and nail the Gene Blaster for the win. ****1/4
IWGP Tag Team Championship Match: The Knockout Brothers (c) vs. Shota Umino and Yuya Uemura at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025: An exciting and hard hitting tag match. Things start off hot with all 4 men going right at it as Yuya and Ice pick up where they left off in their singles match with Yuya going after Ice's left arm. OSKAR is able to back up Ice this time though and helps cut off Yuya for the Knockout Brothers to get some heat on him. Shota gets tagged in eventually and runs wild to get his team back in the match before we get some nice back and forth action. The match again becomes about Yuya and Ice as they go at it. Yuya locks in a kimura and Ice fights to escape, even biting Yuya's leg! Yuya decides to go for the Deadbolt Suplex this time but Ice fires back with headbutts to block it, only for Yuya to lay in his own sickening headbutts! This is awesome! OSKAR and Shota come in to help their teammates but in the end, Yuya is hit with the KOB for the Knockout Brothers to retain. Great match from these two teams that had awesome chemistry together. Felt very much like a continuation of Yuya and Ice's match together but with Shota and OSKAR added in. Adds a nice element to the feud where Yuya can beat Ice on his own but not when Ice has his partner. ****1/4
Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Men's Tournament Semi-Final Match: Adam Page vs. Kyle Fletcher at AEW Dynamite 4/30: A hard hitting fight between these two. Match starts and Fletcher tries to keep things as a straight up wrestling match by working Page over with holds and trying to ground him. Page gets annoyed by Fletcher's tactics and starts to fire off some heavy handed strikes and big offensive blows on Fletcher. From there the match becomes Page having the advantage in a fight and Fletcher trying to wrestle smarter to counter Page. Nice display of this is Fletcher constantly avoiding the Buckshot Lariat every time Page goes to the apron and looks to be setting up for it. As the match goes on, Fletcher starts landing his own big bombs on Page and we get a really good back and forth battle from these two with some really good near-falls as well. Page is able to counter Fletcher late into the match and nails a Dead Eye on the apron and a Moonsault to the outside. Page rolls Fletcher into the ring and looks for the Buckshot but Fletcher uses the referee as a human shield. Low blow by Fletcher and a Brainbuster! Cover! Kickout by Page! Fletcher looks for the Turnbuckle Brainbuster for the killing blow but Page is able to fight him off. Buckshot Lariat from the top rope and out of the corner! Another Buckshot by Page and he gets the win! This was a great straight up match! Fletcher was the smarter and better wrestler of the two, evident by him having the Buckshot so well scouted, but Page was driven to get the win here. Lots of great near-falls before Page is able to catch Fletcher off guard with a Buckshot variation before a proper Buckshot gets Page the win ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Playoff Match: David Finlay vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 17: A very fast paced and hard hitting match. Both men go right at it from the bell with Finlay trying to be the aggressive brawler early. Takeshita is able to use his own size and power to stop Finlay, only for Finlay to immediately start going after Takeshita's hurt knee with some really vicious looking offense. Takeshita does a great job selling the knee even as he responds back by running Finlay into the turnbuckle to target Finlay's previously injured shoulder. I love the storytelling of the match with both men being beaten down from the tournament and so now they are pushing themselves to their limit to try and outlast the other. Lots of big bombs, strikes and near-falls and even a nice count-out tease when Finlay powerbombs Takeshita off the apron through a pair of tables and Takeshita just barely beats the count! From there, Finlay is spamming powerbombs and buckle bombs to try and put down Takeshita, but the Alpha just keeps fighting back with his own big offense. Takeshita is able to counter a powerbomb into a Last Ride and follows up with a Powerdrive Knee. Raging Fire and Takeshita advances! What a match! Loved the fast pace to the match with both men knowing they couldn't afford to let this go too long and tried to beat their already hurt opponent into the dirt. Takeshita was able to weather the storm long enough to put away Finlay and move on. ****1/4
500K Tag Team Match: The Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express at AEW WrestleDream 2025: A really exciting and action-filled tag match. Things kick off and Jurassic Express is able to run wild early, thanks to the combination of Perry's speed and agility and Luchasaurus' power. Nice bit of storytelling early with Perry able to counter a lot of the Bucks' trademark spots due to their history together. The Bucks do manage to isolate Perry for a bit for some heat before Luchasaurus gets the hot tag and things pick up. Match becomes a fast paced, back and forth battle with both teams pulling out some nice offense. A Lucha Brothers Double Stomp/Package Piledriver by the Bucks for a big nearfall before a BTE Trigger on Perry! Luchasaurus with the save! Jurassic Express is able to fight back and nails Matt with a TK Driver but Nick makes the save this time! A second BTE Trigger on Perry but he kicks out! Bucks set up for the TK Driver but Luchasaurus catches Nick with a Chokeslam! Countdown to Extinction on Matt and Jurassic Express beat the Bucks for the first time ever! What a match! A classic start with the babyfaces running wild before the heels cut them off and force them to fight from underneath. Love Luchasaurus being such a powerhouse all match so the Bucks kept their focus on Perry but Perry was able to fight back just as much. Lots of great near-falls before Jurassic Express gets the clean win. ****1/4
ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Máscara Dorada at CMLL vs. AEW & ROH: An excellent back and forth battle from these two luchadors. Match starts and right away we get a clear story of the match: Dorada is the faster and more high flying of the two while Bandido has the power advantage. Both men nicely utilize strategies for the match that highlight those advantages with Dorada working a faster pace with more high flying offense and Bandido using his power to hit big bombs. Lots of great spots and exchanges from the two as the match goes on. Dorada hits a big dive off the stage before returning to the ring and following up with a Shooting Star Press for a big near-fall. Bandido cuts off Dorada with a GTS variation and nails the 21-Plex, but Dorada still kicks out! Bandido stays on top of Dorada with a Fallaway Slam from the top rope! One more 21-Plex and Bandido retains! Just a great back and forth match from these two. Loved the subtle storytelling throughout the match and the wild back and forth action. Great stuff! ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match: El Phantasmo vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 2: A really fast paced and exciting match! ELP starts off the match looking for a quick win, playing off his reign as TV Champion. A series of flash pin attempts before ELP is able to hit the CRII very early! Takeshita rolls to the outside to avoid the Thunder Kiss '86, only for ELP to stay on him with a big dive. ELP goes for another dive into the crowd this time, but Takeashita is there with a brutal elbow as ELP comes flying at him! A Brainbuster on the floor and Takeshita is firmly in control now. Takeshita works over ELP for a bit before ELP is able to start mounting a nice comeback and we get a more back and forth flow to the match. Thunder Kiss '86 attempted again but Takeshita gets his knees up and rolls ELP right into a Raging Fire! Cover but ELP kicks out! We get an insane counter for counter finishing stretch as Takeshita looks to hammer ELP into defeat but ELP keeps finding a way to fight back! ELP counters a Wheelbarrow German into a poison rana before hitting a Destroyer and a CRII! Kickout! Another CRII and ELP hits the CRIII to get the win! This was a fantastic match! Loved ELP trying to move fast to get the win before getting cut off by Takeshita and having to survive his onslaught long enough to hit his own big bombs and get the win. ****1/4
G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Shota Umino at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 4: A really great rematch to these two's Tokyo Dome main event. Both men start off fast and aggressively with Shota going after Sabre's leg in the early going to seemingly slow him down. Sabre does a nice job selling the leg while still trying to utilize it for his offense including some stiff kicks. Lovely spot with Shota working over the leg and going right into an STF but on the mat is where Sabre is at his best as he works his way out and goes after the arms and neck of Shota with some nice offense. At one point, Sabre hits a Zack Driver which takes some of the fight out of Shota but only for a short time as Shota keeps firing back. Sabre ties Shota up in a double arm bar and even traps the leg to stop him from reaching the ropes but Shota gets there with the other foot. Shota tells Sabre to bring it as the two trade blows before Shota rocks Sabre with a German Suplex. Shota looks for the Second Chapter but Sabre counters with a Zack Driver for a 2 count! Sabre tries for some pinning combinations but Shota kicks out and levels Sabre with a massive Lariat! Second Chapter and Shota gets the win! Really good stuff here. Shota seemed to learn from the Tokyo Dome and came in with a more focused and hard hitting style to combat Sabre's amazing wrestling skills. Even when Shota was on defense, he never seemed too far in danger and it looked like Sabre had no way to keep him down. Great stuff. ****1/4
AEW TNT Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe at AEW WrestleDream 2025: Another really good match in these two's series. We get a clear story to the match in the opening minutes with Fletcher trying for a headlock, only for Mark to fight him off and take the match to the floor. Fletcher wants to wrestle but Mark is here to fight! Mark is able to run wild for a few but goes high risk early and misses a cannonball off the apron. Fletcher takes advantage and immediately starts to target and work over Mark's back with his offense. Mark does a great job of fighting back, only for Fletcher to constantly cut him off again and go right back to working him over. The match spills onto the apron and Mark is able to nail a brutal Jay Driller on the apron to buy himself time to regroup. Back in the ring, Mark is able to hit Fletcher with a Froggy Bow while he is draped on the ropes and a follow up one to a standing Fletcher on the floor. A third and final Froggy Bow in the ring but Fletcher kicks out. Some back and forth counters from both men before Mark nails the Jay Driller! Cover! 1..2.. Fletcher gets his finger on the rope! Mark looks for the Cut-Throat Driver but Fletcher grabs the referee to slip out and low blows Mark. Brainbuster and a cover. Mark kicks out! Fletcher has enough and unloads every shot he has left on Mark. Running knee, Lawn Dart into the corner and a Leg Lariat before Fletcher lifts Mark and hits the Turnbuckle Brainbuster to put him away and retain. A great bell to bell action filled match. Loved Mark fighting back all match and going all out with his offense to try and put Fletcher away. Fletcher gave a hell of a fight too but head to resort to a cheap shot to cut off Mark and get the win. ****1/4
ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Hechicero at CMLL Viernes Espectacular 10/3: A really great back and forth wrestling and storytelling match. Things start off with both men trying to out-wrestle each other and right away we can see that Hechicero is the better mat wrestler but Bandido is stronger. Bandido is able to use that strength to string together some nice offense and put Hechicero on the ropes. Hechicero is able to capitalize by trapping Bandido's arm in the guardrail and slamming the door on his shoulder; now Bandido is a wounded man. Some great selling by Bandido as he tries to use his hurt shoulder to keep fighting back, only for Hechicero to keep going after the shoulder to cut him off. Hechicero's attack on the arm finally pays off with an armbreaker that pops Bandido's shoulder out his socket! Bandido now only has one arm but he is still fighting back! We get a fun finishing stretch before Bandido somehow is able to lift Hechicero and nail an X-Knee but can't hit the 21-Plex with only one arm. Instead, Bandido is able to roll-up Hechicero and steal a win to retain! A really good match that allowed Bandido to fight from underneath nearly all match after Hechicero made a target of his arm. Some great back and forth action with fantastic selling by Bandido. A solid rematch from these two. ****1/4
Women's World Championship Match: IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer at WWE Wrestlepalooza: A really well done and even back and forth match from these two. Things kick off with both women trying to out-wrestle the other with some basic mat wrestling. The match very naturally flows into both women going for bigger and bigger offense but in a nice touch, neither woman is seemingly able to keep control over the other for long. IYO tries to use her speed and agility to take Vaquer out of her comfort zone but Vaquer is able to match IYO and keep pace with her. One nice story element is Vaquer going for the Devil's Kiss multiple times but IYO has it scouted and is able to counter to take back control. IYO starts looking for the Over the Moonsaul but Vaquer is able to block it and nail a vicious looking Dragon Screw to try and take out IYO's leg. Some great selling by IYO, who sells the leg while still trying to fight back on it. We get some big offense and near-falls like Vaquer hitting the SVB and IYO nailing a top rope Spanish Fly. IYO finally goes for broke and delivers a pair of Bullet Train knees in the corner, the second one with her knees exposed. IYO goes for the Over the Moonsault again but Vaquer rolls out the way and IYO hits her knee hard. Vaquer takes the opening and nails the Stardust Press to get the win! Really good match. Loved both women having the other so well scouted that we got a very even match. IYO went to the well once too often, which hurt her own knee, and left herself open for Vaquer to take advantage and get the big win. ****1/4
Champion vs. Champion Match: World of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani vs. NJPW STRONG Women's Champion AZM at Stardom Nighter in Korakuen 9/27: An exciting back and forth match. We start off with some quick exchanges before the two take the fight into the crowd for a bit. Saya takes over with her size and power advantage plus her powerful kicks while AZM has to try to use her speed and quick offense to fight back. Things pick up as both women pull out all the stops with lots of big offense. AZM starts spamming Destroyers to try and keep Saya down but Saya fights back even countering an AZM Sushi into a Star Crusher! Insane spot of AZM hitting a top rope Destroyer but Saya still kicks out! Saya fights back with kicks to rock AZM before finishing her with a Kamigoye and a Star Crusher for the win. A great match with these two going all out to get the win. A bit excessive near the end but still damn good. ****1/4
Jordynne Grace vs. Tessa Blanchard at TNA Genesis 2025: A really great heated
match. Things start off hot with Grace charging Tessa and we are off. Nice simple storytelling with Grace being the more powerful of the two and easily able to throw Tessa around while Tessa is the better wrestler and has to out-wrestle Grace to counter her. Both women do a great job at making everything look physical and stiff, even taking little shots at each other as they set up the next big piece of offense. Really good stuff. Very back and forth match with both getting in some good offense and near-falls. Tessa gets frustrated at Grace staying in the match and starts looking for a quick pin and even tries to remove the turnbuckle pad but Grace stays on top of her. Grace goes for the Muscle Buster but Tessa slips out and hits the Buzzsaw into the buckle! Grace grabs the ropes at 2 to save herself. Tessa exposes the turnbuckle and bulldogs Grace into it before hitting Magnum to get the win. Really great match. Both women worked a hard hitting and stiff style of match so that you really bought into their feud here. Finish was nice with Tessa having to cheat/bend the rules to beat the more powerful Grace. Wish the finish was executed a little neater but it still worked. ****1/4
Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Dynamite 1/8: A really well done match with a bunch of storylines mixed in. Jay White and Adam Page start the match and pick up where their feud left off with some nice back and forth action. Page goes for the Buckshot Lariat early but White counters and goes for Bladerunner, only for Page to fight out. Wheeler Yuta enters next and is immediately hit with a Bladerunner by White. That was perfect! Page is able to take out White and clear the ring when Swerve Strickland's music hits! But it's Ricochet. What a troll. Ricochet uses his agility to take over for a bit when Adam Cole enters next. Cole and Ricochet have a nice back and forth ending with Cole hitting Panama Sunrise for a nice near-fall. Daniel Garcia is out and runs wild for a few. Powerhouse Hobbs enters next and just starts tossing people around like crazy. Roderick Strong enters and starts working with Cole to control the ring. Only for Lance Archer to enter and start wrecking people. Archer and Hobbs have a fun spot where they toss Ricochet back and forth before going after each other. Kyle O'Reilly is next and the Undisputed Kingdom work together to control the ring. Jeff Jarrett is out but Yuta jumps him on the ramp and the two fight to the back. Hobbs clears the ring of the Undisputed Kingdom and nails a Spinebuster on Kyle. Hobbs gets the win and the title shot! A super fun match. Really liked all the storylines they were able to work in: Page's feuds with White and Swerve, Ricochet being a dick to everyone, Undisputed Kingdom working together. Hobbs getting the win was a nice surprise and a fresh challenger for the championship. ****1/4
60 Minute Iron Man Match: Kenoh vs. Kaito Kiyomiya at Pro Wrestling NOAH Kaito Kiyomiya 10 Year Anniversary Show: Another really good match from these generational rivals. The match starts off very technical with lots of mat wrestling and working holds with Kaito seemingly having the advantage. Kenoh tries to be aggressive early on and make this a fight but Kaito stays calm and keeps going back to wrestling holds. We get a bit of Kenoh in control as he lands some stiff kicks on Kaito and punishes him for a bit until Kaito starts firing back. Both men start up the pace and we get some really nice back and forth exchanges of counters from the two. Kaito looks to run through his signature offense but misses the Skywalk Elbow, which gives Kenoh the opening to lock in the Kenoh Special. Kaito is able to get to the ropes but the damage is clearly done. Kaito tries to go back to wrestling with a couple of roll-up attempts but Kenoh gets the Kenoh Special locked in again and Kaito has to tap this time to give Kenoh his first fall. Kenoh starts on the wounded Kaito and even backdrops him to the floor! Kenoh follows up with some kicks but misses one and hits the ring post! Kaito has an opening and tries to take over but Kenoh manages to block his strikes and hits a Dragon Suplex on the floor! Kenoh to the top and he hits a PFS from the top rope to the floor on Kaito! Holy Shit! Kaito tries to make it back to the ring but can't and is counted out for Kenoh's 2nd fall. Kaito struggles back in and avoids the second count-out but Kenoh is right on him. Kaito blocks a top rope PFS and manages to hit a Reverse DDT from the top to buy himself time to recover. Kaito goes after Kenoh's legs with Dragon Screws to try and slow him down and finally mounts a real comeback. Skywalk Elbow lands the second time and Kaito gets his first fall. Both men go back to exchanging strikes and offense before Kenoh hits another PFS but only gets a 2. Kenoh tries to follow-up but Kaito is able to roll him up for a pin to tie things up. Both men are exhausted but keep swinging away with strikes until Kenoh rocks Kaito, but this just fires Kaito up more who comes back wild eyed and crazed and just starts landing straight punches to Kenoh's head. Kaito lays in some big shots but comes off the top and Kenoh catches him with a kick in mid-air! PFS but only a 2 again. Kenoh nails the Flaming Circle and gets a third fall! Kenoh goes back to the Kenoh Special but Kaito is able to fight his way to the ropes this time. Kenoh pushes Kaito to fight back by telling him that he is losing and Kaito comes back with some big shots. A Shining Lancer gives Kaito his 3rd fall to tie things back up. Kaito goes back to the leg and locks Kenoh in a Figure Four but Kenoh manages to reach the ropes. Tiger Suplex by Kaito is blocked and Kenoh levels Kaito with a series brutal kicks to rock him and get a 4th fall with just a minute to go. Kaito frantically works to tie things up as he goes for quick roll-ups on Kenoh for near-falls. Shining Lancer gets Kaito another 2 count before he lands a second one but time runs out before he can cover and Kenoh wins it. A well done Iron Man match that kept the action moving and told a good story all match. Wish Kenoh's selling of his leg had been more consistent and the length does drag a bit at times. Still a great showing from both. ****1/4
Three Way Match for the AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Mascara Dorada at AEW All Out 2025: A really great story and action filled 3 way. Okada and Takeshita want to go right after each other at the bell but Dorada gets involved and refuses to be ignored or taken lightly as he uses his speed and agility to take out both men early. Match does an excellent job of keeping all 3 men involved in a lot of the action and each having a role to play with Okada the cocky heel champion, Dorada the fiery high flyer and Takeshita the powerhouse. Tons of great back and forth action even getting our first taste of Okada vs. Takeshita with Takeshita seemingly having Okada's number and forces Okada to take some cheap shots. Dorada does a great job staying in this and taking advantage of the two bigger men going after each other even hitting a double hurricanrana off the top to both men! Dorada starts rolling but runs into a Raging Fire by Takeshita, only for Okada to break up the pin and take out Takeshita. Rainmaker to Dorada and Okada just barely steals the win. Great match that made Dorada look like a star while we get the slow build to Okada vs. Takeshita. ****
Elimination Chamber Match for the #1 Contendership for the Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest vs. Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025: A really good Chamber match with some good storytelling in it. Rollins and Drew start off and we get a fun visual where they fight in front of Punk, who cheers them both on. Priest enters followed by Logan and both are able to control the match for a bit with their power and athleticism respectively. Cena enters and runs wild on everyone with his trademark offense and AAs. Drew cuts off Cena with a Claymore out of nowhere. Priest with a Crucifix pin on Drew as he taunts Cena and Drew is eliminated! Claymore to Priest by a pissed off Drew before Logan hits a Frog Splash off the pod to eliminate Priest. Punk enters and goes right after Logan and takes him out before Punk and Cena face off! But Rollins wants Punk and attacks him. Everyone gets some time to shine before Logan goes for a Buckshot and Punk counters into a GTS to eliminate him. Cena, Punk and Rollins go at it for a bit before Rollins runs Cena into a pod to take him out but doesn't go for the cover. Rollins wants Punk more! They go at it and we get some really good near-falls before Cena makes it back into the fight. Punk gets Rollins with a GTS and he falls right into Cena's arms for an AA before Punk pins Rollins to eliminate him. It's down to Punk and Cena! GTS and AA only get 2 counts so Cena tries for the STF, only for Punk to get the ropes and kick Cena off. Rollins with a Stomp to Punk on the steel floor! Punk is out! Cena pulls Punk back and locks in the STF! Punk is out and the referee calls it. Cena is going to Wrestlemania! A really good match with some nice storylines all mixed in. Drew and Priest costing each other the win, Punk getting revenge on Logan and keeping things going with Rollins while Cena comes in fired up to win, even taking the cheap win that Rollins helped him get. Very good stuff. ****
G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match: Shingo Takagi vs. Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 6: A big hard hitting Hoss fight from these two. Bell rings and these two go right at it with big strikes, elbows and lariats. Both men start throwing big bombs as well as they look for the quick win early. Some great stuff as the match goes on with both men using the other's offense like Shingo hitting a Bastard Driver and Takeshita using a Made in Japan for nice near-falls. Takeshita finally changes tactics when brute force won't do and nails Shingo with a vicious elbow to the back of the head before a neck snap and locks in incredible back and forth, hard hitting action. Finish was very well done with all the punishment and big bombs not being enough so Takeshita has to choke the life out of Shingo to finally keep him down ****
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 1/26: A really fun, hard hitting match. Both men lock-up and we get an even start early on. Match spills to the floor in the opening minutes and Sheamus looks to cut off Bron before he gets moving, only to get nailed with a Spear coming off the steps. My God, that looked brutal! Bron goes to work on the midsection and Sheamus nicely fights back the whole time. Both men start throwing out the big bombs with Sheamus hitting a Celtic Cross and Bron hitting a top rope Frankensteiner! Bron goes for the Spear but Sheamus cuts him off with a Brogue Kick! Cover! Bron gets his foot on the rope at 2! Sheamus goes for a second Brogue Kick but his ribs are too hurt to hit it. Bron takes the opening and hits a Spear for the win! Just an awesome match! Enough story and selling to make every big shot feel important and impactful. ****
